This Hikvision AX PRO duress kit is a silent personal-safety and panic alarm, not a break-in alarm.

It is built around the DS-PWA64-M-WB hub and supplied with a portable wireless emergency button, a wall-mounted emergency button and a wristband to wear the portable button.

When someone presses a button, the hub sends an alert out over the internet, Wi-Fi or an optional 3G/4G SIM as a phone call and an app push notification to the people you nominate, so help can be called quickly and discreetly.

The point of the kit is the silent response.

Unlike an intrusion alarm, it does not sound a siren at the property when a button is pressed; instead it quietly notifies your chosen contacts so the situation is not escalated in front of an attacker or intruder.

This makes it well suited to people who may need to call for help without drawing attention, and the portable button can be carried in a pocket or worn on the wrist so it is always within reach.

Everything is set up and managed from the Hik-Connect app, where you add the people who should receive the alerts.

Set up the hub

Place the hub centrally with good Wi-Fi or a network point, fit the SIM if you want the mobile backup path, and power it up to charge the backup battery.

Pair the buttons

Add each emergency button to the hub in the Hik-Connect app, fit the portable button to the wristband if it will be worn, and mount the wall button by a bed, desk, counter or reception point.

Add the people who should receive alerts in the app, set the duress and panic response, then test each button and confirm the phone call and push notification arrive without a siren sounding.
