§ 01Overview

What the DH-IPC-PDBW5831P-B360-E4 is

The Dahua DH-IPC-PDBW5831P-B360-E4 is a multi-sensor panoramic dome that covers a wide area from a single mount.

Four 1/2.8-inch 2MP sensors, each on an independently adjustable lens, can be aimed to suit the site, so one camera replaces several fixed cameras across a junction, forecourt or open area and records all four directions at once.

Starlight low-light imaging and WDR hold detail in dim and high-contrast scenes, and IR reaches up to 30m.

Because it carries four imaging channels, it uses more than one channel on your recorder and adds more bandwidth than a single camera, so check the channel count, recorder support and storage when planning the system.

It provides IVS tripwire and intrusion detection for rule-based alerting rather than the SMD human and vehicle classification of the WizSense range, and it does not have a built-in microphone.

The metal housing is IP67-rated for outdoor use, and it powers from 24V AC or PoE+ (802.3at); a standard 802.3af port may not supply enough power for the four-sensor unit.

Mount it high and central so the four lenses can take in the whole area.

Representative illustrations of how each key feature performs in a real scene.

30m IR Night Vision

Built-in infrared lets the camera see in complete darkness up to around 30m — enough for a typical driveway, front yard or entrance. People and vehicles stay clear in black-and-white, brighter the closer they are.

IP67 Weatherproof

Sealed against dust and water to IP67, built to keep working through rain, storms and harsh sun — suitable for fully outdoor mounting.

§ 04Why choose this

Built for the way you actually use the DH-IPC-PDBW5831P-B360-E4

Four directions from one mount

Four independently adjustable 2MP sensors cover a junction or open area from all sides, replacing several fixed cameras.

Flexible, aimable coverage

Each lens can be aimed to suit the site, so you tailor the coverage rather than being fixed to one angle.

Fewer cameras and cable runs

One multi-sensor camera reduces the mounting points and cabling needed across a wide open area.

Built for outdoors

An IP67 metal housing with Starlight low light and 30m IR suits exposed forecourts, yards and junctions.

§ 05Where it fits

Right at home in these scenarios

Junctions and intersections

Aims the four lenses down each approach so one camera covers a laneway or path intersection from every side.

Forecourts and car parks

Watches a wide open area from a central mount, with each sensor covering a section of the lot or forecourt.

Yards and compounds

Covers a large yard or compound from one elevated point, removing the blind spots between separate cameras.

Campuses and public spaces

Keeps a wide area in view from a single mast or soffit, with adjustable lenses to suit the layout.

§ 06Setup

Installation & setup

01

Confirm NVR channels and support

This camera uses more than one channel for its four sensors. Confirm your recorder has the spare channels, bandwidth and storage, and supports this multi-sensor model, before installing.

02

Mount high and central

Fix it to a pole, parapet or soffit at a height that lets the four lenses take in the whole area, then aim each lens to cover its direction.

03

Power with PoE+ or 24V AC

Use an 802.3at PoE+ source or a 24V AC supply sized for the four-sensor load. A standard 802.3af port may not be enough.

04

Aim the lenses and set IVS rules

Adjust each lens for its coverage area, then set IVS tripwire and intrusion zones across the views.

§ 07Questions

Frequently asked about the DH-IPC-PDBW5831P-B360-E4

Q.01

How does this multi-sensor camera work?

It has four 2MP sensors in one housing, each on an independently adjustable lens. You aim the lenses to cover the directions that matter, so a single camera can watch a junction or open area from all sides at once and replace several fixed cameras, simplifying mounting and cabling.
Q.02

How many channels does it use on my NVR?

Because it carries four imaging channels, it uses more than one channel on the recorder, typically around four, and adds more bandwidth than a single camera. Confirm your recorder has the spare channels, bandwidth and storage, and that it supports this multi-sensor model, before installing.
Q.03

Does it have human and vehicle detection?

It provides IVS tripwire and intrusion detection, which alert when movement crosses a line or enters a zone. It does not include the SMD human and vehicle classification of the Dahua WizSense range, so for target-type filtering choose a WizSense camera.
Q.04

How far does it see at night?

IR reaches up to 30m across the covered area, suiting forecourts, yards and junctions where there is some ambient or supplementary lighting. The Starlight sensors hold detail in low light before the scene switches to monochrome infrared.
Q.05

Does it record audio?

No. This model does not have a built-in microphone, so it does not capture on-site audio. It has audio input and output terminals for connecting external audio devices if required.
Q.06

How is it powered?

It runs on 24V AC or PoE+ (802.3at). A standard 802.3af PoE port may not supply enough power for the four-sensor unit, so use an 802.3at PoE+ source or a 24V AC supply sized for the load.
Q.07

Where does this style of camera work best?

It suits large open areas and junctions where one camera replacing several is valuable: forecourts, car parks, yards, intersections and campuses. Aiming the four lenses outward removes blind spots and reduces the number of cameras and cable runs needed.
Q.08

Is it an outdoor camera?

Yes. The metal housing is IP67-rated against dust and water for outdoor mounting. Fix it high and central, such as on a pole, parapet or soffit, so the four lenses can take in the whole area you want to cover.

§ 09Bundles

Recommended packages

01

Recorders and storage

Record to a Dahua AI NVR with spare channels and capacity such as the 16-channel NVR5216-16P or NVR5416-16P, fitted with an 8TB surveillance hard drive. Confirm the recorder supports this multi-sensor model.

02

Power and cabling

Use an 802.3at PoE+ source or a 24V AC supply sized for the four-sensor load, with quality Cat6 cable for the run.
