This TP-Link VIGI kit pairs four InSight S385 8MP (4K) full-colour bullet cameras with the VIGI NVR1004H-4P 4-channel PoE recorder — a complete bullet-camera system for a home or small business. Each camera records in true colour around the clock to about 30 metres, classifies people and vehicles to cut false alerts, and has a built-in microphone and speaker for two-way audio and active deterrence. The bullet form factor with a visible body suits driveways and approaches where a deterrent presence helps. No hard drive is included, so you can choose the storage that suits you.

This TP-Link VIGI 8MP kit is a complete four-camera bullet system for the main approaches of a home or small business. It brings together four InSight S385 8MP full-colour bullet cameras and the VIGI NVR1004H-4P, a 4-channel recorder with built-in PoE so each camera connects over a single network cable that carries both power and data.

At 8MP (3840 × 2160) the S385 captures fine detail for identifying faces, clothing and number plates, and its bullet shape with a wide 2.8 mm lens (about 111° horizontal) gives a long, obvious presence that suits driveways, fence lines and entrances. It records in full colour 24/7 using a high-sensitivity sensor and white LEDs to about 30 metres, with 850 nm infrared on hand for a discreet view, also to 30 metres and helped by Smart IR to avoid over-exposing close objects. AI classification of people and vehicles keeps notifications meaningful, and a built-in microphone and speaker give you two-way audio and active deterrence on every camera. The IP67 housings handle outdoor weather, and H.265+ keeps the four streams efficient on storage.

One practical note. The recorder does not include a hard drive — add a surveillance-grade drive sized to your cameras and how long you want to keep footage; a 2TB drive is a sensible start for four cameras, with 4TB or more for longer retention across 4K streams. The cameras ship with the 2.8 mm wide lens, work with the VIGI app, Security Manager or web, and also support ONVIF and RTSP for third-party recorders. TP-Link VIGI is NDAA compliant, and the kit is genuine stock with a local 3-year warranty and support.

What's in the box

Four VIGI InSight S385 bullet cameras (2.8 mm) with mounting accessories, one VIGI NVR1004H-4P recorder and guides. A hard drive, network cables and a monitor are supplied separately.

Installation requirements

Mount the four cameras over the approaches you want, run one network cable from each to the NVR's PoE ports, and fit a surveillance-grade hard drive before recording. Set up the system in the VIGI app or on a monitor, then test each view and the night mode before relying on it.

Is a hard drive included in this kit?
No. The NVR1004H-4P is supplied without a hard drive so you can match storage to your needs. Add a surveillance-grade drive such as a WD Purple or Seagate Skyhawk; a 2TB drive is a sensible start for four 4K cameras, with 4TB or larger for longer retention.

What is the difference between a bullet and a turret kit?
Bullet cameras like the S385 have a longer, visible body that acts as an obvious deterrent and suits driveways and fence lines. Turret cameras are more compact and resist glare under an eave. This kit uses bullets; matching turret kits are available if you prefer a lower-profile look.

Do the cameras record in colour at night?
Yes. The S385 cameras keep full colour in low light using built-in white LEDs to around 30 metres, and can switch to 850 nm infrared, also to 30 metres, with Smart IR to avoid over-exposing nearby objects. You set the mode or let it switch automatically.

Does the kit have two-way audio?
Yes. Each S385 has a built-in microphone and speaker, so through the VIGI app you can listen to the scene and speak back in real time, or trigger an audible warning to deter someone. Two-way audio works on every camera in the kit.

Can I add more cameras later?
This kit uses all four channels of the NVR1004H-4P. To add more cameras you would move up to an 8-channel or larger VIGI recorder, so it is worth planning your camera count before buying if you expect to grow.

Will the cameras work with a non-VIGI NVR?
Yes. They support ONVIF and RTSP and can be added to a third-party NVR or software that supports ONVIF, including many Hikvision and Dahua recorders. The included VIGI NVR is recommended for the full smart-event and management features.

You have 30 days from the day you receive your order to request a change-of-mind return. Items must be unopened, factory-sealed and in resalable condition.
