The Hikvision DS-2CD2787G2H-LIPTRZS is an 8 MP ColorVu motorised PTRZ dome that lets you aim and frame the shot remotely, then keeps footage in colour after dark. PTRZ means motorised pan, tilt, rotate and zoom, so you set the exact field of view from your desk with no need to refit the camera. What the DS-2CD2787G2H-LIPTRZS is

The Hikvision DS-2CD2787G2H-LIPTRZS is an 8 MP ColorVu dome with a motorised PTRZ mechanism, designed to take the awkwardness out of aiming a camera.

PTRZ stands for pan, tilt, rotate and zoom, all driven by motors, so after the dome is on the wall you set the exact pan, tilt, image rotation and 2.8-12 mm zoom from the software.

There is no need to climb back up and physically adjust the gimbal, which makes it ideal for high or hard-to-reach mounting points on forecourts and large estates.

After dark it stays in colour.

ColorVu with a large F1.2 aperture captures full-colour images in very low light, and Smart Hybrid Light keeps discreet infrared on by default and switches to white light for full-colour footage up to 40 m when it detects a person or vehicle.

AcuSense deep-learning analytics classify human and vehicle targets so motion and perimeter rules - line crossing, intrusion, region entry and exit - stay focused on real activity, and the camera also captures faces.

A 130 dB WDR keeps detail against the harsh Australian sun and deep shadow.

One honest distinction so you choose the right product.

PTRZ is not the same as a speed dome (PTZ).

The motors are made for remote aiming during setup and the occasional repositioning, not for constant patrols or live auto-tracking, and the adjustment mechanism is rated for a limited number of cycles.

If you need a camera that pans and follows targets all day, choose a speed dome instead.

This camera also records audio only through a line-in connection - it has no built-in microphone or speaker - so it is not a talk-back camera.

Power it from PoE or 12 VDC and record it to a Hikvision AcuSense NVR.

What's in the box

Installation requirements

Mount it on a wall, eave or ceiling over the area to cover and power it from a PoE switch or NVR or a 12 VDC supply. Connect the network, then set the pan, tilt, rotate and zoom and the Smart Hybrid Light and AcuSense rules remotely in the software, and add it to a Hikvision NVR for recording and event search.
