The Hikvision DS-2CD5A85G0-IZ is an 8 MP DarkFighter motorised varifocal bullet aimed at enterprise and high-value sites that need detail and good images in poor light.

The large 1/1.8" sensor combines high 4K resolution with DarkFighter low-light sensitivity, so it holds usable colour as light fades and switches to infrared in full darkness for clear black and white footage up to 50 m.

120 dB Wide Dynamic Range balances bright and dark areas in the same frame, which helps where headlights or a bright sky sit behind a shaded entrance.

The motorised 2.8 to 12 mm lens sets zoom and focus remotely, so a single technician can dial in a driveway, car park or boundary without re-adjusting the camera by hand.

On-board smart analytics include behaviour rules such as line crossing and intrusion, exception detection, face detection and counting, which run on the camera itself.

This is a metal bullet rated IP67 and IK10 for weather and impact, with a microSD slot up to 256 GB, a gigabit network port and audio and alarm connections.

It runs on PoE (802.3at) or 12 VDC.

Note the night image is infrared black and white rather than colour, and audio is handled through a line-in and a line-out connection for an external microphone and speaker; there is no microphone or speaker inside the camera.

What's in the box

One DS-2CD5A85G0-IZ bullet camera with a mounting template, fixings and a quick guide. The PoE switch or NVR, network cable, microSD card and any junction box are supplied separately.

Installation requirements

Mount it on a wall or eave aimed along the area you want to cover and run one network cable back to a PoE switch or NVR that supports 802.3at, or use 12 VDC. Set the zoom, focus and analytics in the software, add external audio to the line-in and line-out if needed, and record it to a Hikvision NVR for review.
