What the DS-2CD2687G2HT is

The Hikvision DS-2CD2687G2HT-LIZS is an 8 MP Smart Hybrid Light bullet with a motorised 2.8 to 12 mm zoom, built for sites that need a flexible field of view and strong night performance.

A 1/1.8" sensor and a bright F1.2 lens capture sharp 8 MP (3840 x 2160) images, and the motorised varifocal lens lets you set the zoom and focus remotely from wide-angle to telephoto, so you frame a forecourt or reach down a long perimeter without touching the camera.

130 dB Wide Dynamic Range holds detail in high-contrast light.

Smart Hybrid Light gives three night modes.

In infrared mode the camera reaches up to 60 m with a black-and-white image; in white-light mode it shows full colour; and in smart mode it runs on infrared by default and switches to white light to capture full colour when AcuSense detects a person or vehicle.

That lets you keep colour where it matters while avoiding a constant white light where it would be a nuisance.

AcuSense deep learning classifies people and vehicles on the camera and runs perimeter rules that alarm only on those targets, cutting the false alarms that branches, rain and animals cause.

This model captures video rather than audio: it has audio input and output connections for an external microphone but no built-in microphone or speaker, so it is not a two-way-audio camera on its own.

It is a metal bullet rated IP67 against dust and water and IK10 against impact, with a microSD slot up to 512 GB and H.265+ compression.

It runs on PoE (802.3at) or 12 VDC, so confirm your switch or NVR supplies 802.3at for the motorised lens and lights.

Record it to a Hikvision AcuSense NVR so the people and vehicle events stay quick to search.

What's in the box

One DS-2CD2687G2HT-LIZS bullet camera with a mounting template, fixings and a quick guide. The PoE switch or NVR, network cable, microSD card and any junction box are supplied separately.

Installation requirements

Mount it on a wall, eave or pole aimed along the area to cover, and run one network cable back to a PoE (802.3at) switch or NVR, or use 12 VDC. Set the motorised zoom and focus, the Smart Hybrid Light mode and the AcuSense rules in the software, and record it to a Hikvision AcuSense NVR. A junction box tidies the cabling on a flat wall.

What are the Smart Hybrid Light modes?
There are three night modes: infrared for a discreet black-and-white image to 60 m, constant white light for full colour, and smart mode, which runs on infrared and switches to white light to capture full colour when a person or vehicle is detected. You choose the mode to suit the site.

Does it record in colour at night?
It can. In white-light or smart mode it shows full colour at night, and in smart mode it only turns on the white light when a target is detected. In infrared mode the image is black and white. By default it favours infrared and brings in white light when needed.

What does the motorised lens do?
The 2.8 to 12 mm lens is powered, so you set the zoom and focus remotely from the software or NVR instead of adjusting it by hand. That makes it easy to frame a wide forecourt or reach down a long driveway, and to fine-tune it later without returning to the camera.

Does it have a microphone or two-way audio?
No. It has audio input and output connections for an external microphone and speaker, but no built-in microphone or speaker, so it is not a two-way-audio camera on its own. Add an external mic if you need to capture sound.

How far can it see?
With the lens zoomed in, its detect range reaches around 216 m and it can recognise a person at about 43 m, while the supplement light reaches up to 60 m at night. Zoom out for a wide overview or in for long-range detail along a perimeter.

How does AcuSense cut false alarms?
AcuSense classifies people and vehicles, so perimeter rules such as line crossing and intrusion alarm only on those targets. Moving branches, rain and animals are far less likely to trigger an alert than on a basic motion camera.

What power and recorder does it need?
It runs on PoE (802.3at) over one network cable, or on 12 VDC. The motorised lens and lights draw more than a basic camera, so make sure your switch or NVR supplies 802.3at. Record it to a Hikvision AcuSense NVR to keep the events searchable.

Is it suitable for outdoors in Australia?
Yes. It has an IP67 metal body against dust and water and an IK10 impact rating, with a wide operating temperature range, so it suits exposed walls, poles and perimeters through heat, dust and rain.
