The Hikvision DS-2CD2T66G2H-2I is a 6 MP ColorVu Hybrid bullet built for dependable colour-and-infrared night vision on a sensible budget.

A 1/2.4" sensor with a bright F1.0 lens captures sharp 6 MP (3200 x 1800) images, and 120 dB Wide Dynamic Range balances bright and shaded areas in the same frame, such as a sunlit forecourt against a shaded entry.

Its hybrid lighting is the difference from a plain infrared camera.

The camera holds full colour as light fades using a warm supplement light, and switches to infrared up to 60 m when it gets truly dark, so you get colour where there is some ambient light and a clear black-and-white image in full darkness.

AcuSense deep learning runs on the camera, classifying people and vehicles and triggering perimeter rules such as line crossing and intrusion only on those targets, which cuts the false alarms that branches, rain and animals cause on a basic motion camera.

H.265+ compression keeps the high-resolution stream efficient on bandwidth and storage.

This is the -2I variant, with infrared to 60 m; the -4I variant reaches 80 m for longer perimeters.

It is a metal bullet rated IP67 against dust and water, offered in a black or white housing, with a fixed 2.8 mm or 4 mm lens and a microSD slot up to 512 GB.

What's in the box

One DS-2CD2T66G2H-2I bullet camera with a mounting template, fixings and a quick guide. The PoE switch or NVR, network cable, microSD card and any junction box are supplied separately.

Installation requirements

Mount it on a wall or eave aimed along the area to cover, and run one network cable back to a PoE (802.3af) switch or NVR, or use 12 VDC. Set the AcuSense rules and the lighting mode in the software, and record it to a Hikvision AcuSense NVR. A junction box tidies the cabling on a flat wall.
