§ 01Overview
What the iDS-2CD7146G2-IZS is
The Hikvision iDS-2CD7146G2-IZS is a 4 MP DeepinView dome focused on faces and people.
A 1/1.8" sensor with DarkFighter 2.0 imaging and 150 dB Wide Dynamic Range keeps the picture clean in low light and harsh contrast, and ShotN technology grabs sharp stills of fast-moving subjects.
With 2.5 TOPS of on-board deep learning it detects up to 120 faces at once, captures and uploads the best shots, and compares them against on-camera libraries that hold up to 150,000 faces in total.
Beyond faces, it is a full professional analytics camera.
It classifies human and vehicle targets so perimeter rules such as line crossing and intrusion fire on real threats, counts people entering, exiting and passing by for footfall data, and even flags activities such as a person on a phone.
A motorised 2.8 to 12 mm lens (an 8 to 32 mm version is available) sets the zoom and focus remotely, so the view is easy to commission and adjust.
Night vision is by EXIR infrared to about 40 metres, so the night image is black and white; this is a DarkFighter low-light camera, not a full-colour ColorVu model.
It has two built-in microphones and a built-in speaker for two-way audio, useful for challenging a person at a door or gate, plus line in and line out and alarm connectors.
The IP67 and IK10 metal body, with a NEMA 4X option on the -Y model, suits exposed entrances and transport sites, and it records to a standard Hikvision NVR or, for central face management, a DeepinMind recorder.

§ 04Why choose this
Built for the way you actually use the iDS-2CD7146G2-IZS
More than face capture
Human and vehicle perimeter rules, people counting and activity detection make it a complete professional analytics dome.
Clean low-light detail
A 1/1.8" sensor with DarkFighter 2.0, 150 dB WDR and ShotN keeps faces sharp in poor light and against movement.
Two-way audio and rugged build
Built-in mics and a speaker let you challenge people at a door, in an IP67 and IK10 body suited to exposed sites.
§ 05Where it fits
Right at home in these scenarios
Building entrances and reception
Capture and compare faces at doors, with two-way audio to speak to visitors.
Transport and access points
Identify people and vehicles at gates and platforms, with accurate perimeter alarms.
Retail and footfall
People counting and face insight to understand visitor flow alongside security.
Schools and campuses
Face capture at major entrances with rugged, vandal-resistant coverage.
§ 06Setup
Installation & setup
In the box
DeepinView dome, mounting base and the printed guide. A pendant, wall box or pole mount is selected to suit the position and bought separately.
Power and cabling
Run a single gigabit network cable for PoE (802.3at). A gigabit path keeps the AI streams flowing freely.
Mounting
Fit it on a wall or ceiling facing the door, gate or area you want covered, at a height and angle that suits face capture, and seal the cable entry.
Setup
Set the motorised zoom and focus, build the face libraries and people-counting and perimeter rules, and configure the two-way audio in the recorder or client.

§ 09Bundles
Recommended packages
Pair with a DeepinMind NVR
Manage face libraries on the iDS-7716NXI-M4/16P/X DeepInMind face-recognition NVR. For standard recording, the DS-7616NI-M2/16P 16-channel PoE NVR also works (a firmware update may be needed for full features).
Add surveillance storage
The DeepInMind NVR ships without drives, so fit a 6TB surveillance hard drive or an 8TB surveillance hard drive rated for continuous recording.
Power extra cameras
Add a NS-0109P-60 8-port PoE switch where you need more PoE ports for a multi-camera site.
