What the DS-2CD2147G2-L is

The Hikvision DS-2CD2147G2-L is a 4 MP ColorVu dome for sites that want colour at night rather than black-and-white infrared.

A 1/1.8" sensor and an F1.0 aperture pull in enough light to keep faces, clothing and vehicle colours visible in low light, and a white-light supplement reaches up to 30 m so the picture stays in full colour even when ambient light fades.

130 dB WDR keeps bright and shaded areas balanced in the same frame.

AcuSense adds the intelligence.

Hikvision's deep-learning analytics classify human and vehicle targets, so motion and perimeter alarms fire on people and cars and ignore animals, rain and moving plants, and you can filter recordings by person or vehicle to find an event quickly.

The camera records 2688 x 1520 video and uses H.265+ to keep bandwidth and storage down.

The dome is rated IP67 against dust and rain and IK10 against impact, so it suits entrances, shopfronts and car parks where it might be exposed or knocked, and it takes a 2.8 mm or 4 mm lens to set the field of view.

Power and network it over one PoE cable, or use 12 VDC, and record it to a Hikvision AcuSense NVR.

Note this is the -L model, which is video-only with no built-in microphone; if you need audio, choose the -LSU version that adds a microphone.

What's in the box

One DS-2CD2147G2-L ColorVu fixed dome camera with a mounting template, fixings and a quick guide. The PoE switch or NVR, network cable, microSD card and any junction box are supplied separately.

Installation requirements

Mount it on a wall or ceiling above the area to cover and run one network cable to a PoE switch or NVR, or wire 12 VDC. Frame the scene, set the ColorVu lighting mode and AcuSense rules in the software, and add it to a Hikvision AcuSense NVR for recording and event search.
