    The Hikvision DS-2CD2146G2-I is a 4 MP fixed dome that focuses on dependable, low-maintenance surveillance.

    The 1/3" sensor records 2688 x 1520 video at 25 fps, and 120 dB WDR balances harsh backlight against shadow, so doorways, carports and shop interiors stay clear through the day.

    Its main advantage over a basic dome is AcuSense.

    Hikvision's deep-learning analytics classify human and vehicle targets, so motion, line-crossing and intrusion alarms trigger on people and cars and ignore cats, rain and waving branches.

    That cuts the nuisance alerts and lets you search recordings by person or vehicle, which saves real time when you need to find an event.

    At night the camera uses infrared up to 30 m, so the night image is clear black-and-white rather than colour.

    It is built to last in an exposed position.

    The dome is rated IP67 against dust and rain and IK10 against impact and vandalism, and it accepts a 2.8 mm, 4 mm or 6 mm lens to match the field of view to the area.

    Power and network it over a single PoE cable, or use 12 VDC, and record it to a Hikvision AcuSense NVR to keep the human and vehicle events easy to find.

    This is a video-only camera with no built-in microphone, so it does not record audio.

    One DS-2CD2146G2-I fixed dome camera with a mounting template, fixings and a quick guide. The PoE switch or NVR, network cable, microSD card and any junction box are supplied separately.

    Mount it on a wall or ceiling above the area to cover and run a single network cable to a PoE switch or NVR, or wire 12 VDC. Adjust the dome to frame the scene, set the AcuSense rules in the software, and add it to a Hikvision AcuSense NVR for recording and event search.
