What the DS-2XC6047G0-L(S)-4mm is
The Hikvision DS-2XC6047G0-L(S) is a 4 MP ColorVu bullet built for sites where corrosion, not distance, is the problem.
The polymer anti-corrosion enclosure is rated IP68 against dust and immersion and NEMA 4X against corrosion, so it keeps working on coastlines, around chemical processes and in wash-down areas that would pit and fail a standard camera.
A F1/1.0-aperture lens and a high-sensitivity sensor give ColorVu imaging, which means full colour around the clock, day and night, rather than the black-and-white picture an infrared camera produces in the dark.
This is the 4 mm lens version, with a horizontal field of view of about 75.79 degrees.
A white-light supplement reaches up to 40 metres to keep the colour image bright in true darkness, and 120 dB Wide Dynamic Range holds detail against strong backlight such as a bright doorway or a wet, reflective floor.
On-camera deep learning classifies people and vehicles, so motion and perimeter alarms such as line crossing and intrusion ignore wind, rain and animals, and a built-in microphone records audio alongside the video.
The HEOP open platform with 1.5 TOPS of compute lets approved third-party apps run on the camera itself.
It is easy to install and to live with.
It runs on standard PoE (802.3af) or a wide 9 to 36 VDC input, so a single network cable can power it, and it records to a Hikvision NVR or a microSD card up to 256 GB.
