§ 01Overview

What the DS-2CC52D9T-AVPIT3ZE is

The Hikvision DS-2CC52D9T-AVPIT3ZE is a 2 MP Turbo HD ultra-low-light vandal dome made to upgrade an existing analog (coax) site to clean high definition without pulling new cable.

It sends a 1080p image down the same coaxial cable an older analog camera used, so you keep the wiring and change the camera and recorder.

Being an analog camera, it connects to a Turbo HD DVR rather than a network recorder, and it does not use PoE.

The standout here is light handling.

An ultra-low-light sensor with 120 dB true Wide Dynamic Range holds a usable picture in dim conditions and balances bright and dark areas in the same frame, such as a glass entrance against a shaded foyer.

EXIR infrared reaches up to 40 m at night with Smart IR to stop close objects washing out; the night image is black and white because the camera uses infrared rather than white light.

It outputs HD analog video via BNC alongside a CVBS output for a legacy monitor.

The motorised 2.8 to 12 mm lens lets you set the zoom and focus remotely from a compatible DVR, so you can frame a doorway or a forecourt without opening the dome.

It is a metal, vandal-resistant dome rated IP67 and IK10 for exposed entrances and public areas, powered by 24 VAC or 12 VDC, with power-over-coax support to simplify cabling on a matching DVR.

For an existing coax site that needs a tough, adjustable HD dome, it is a practical upgrade; for a new install or remote analytics, an IP dome is the alternative to weigh up.

What the DS-2CC52D9T-AVPIT3ZE features actually look like

Representative illustrations of how each key feature performs in a real scene.

40m IR Night Vision

Built-in infrared sees in total darkness up to around 40m, reaching further across a larger yard or laneway. Subjects appear in clear black-and-white, sharper and brighter as they get closer.

IP67 Weatherproof

Sealed against dust and water to IP67, built to keep working through rain, storms and harsh sun — suitable for fully outdoor mounting.

§ 04Why choose this

Built for the way you actually use the DS-2CC52D9T-AVPIT3ZE

Strong in low light

An ultra-low-light sensor with 120 dB true WDR holds a usable picture in dim and high-contrast scenes.

Set the angle remotely

A motorised 2.8 to 12 mm lens lets you zoom and focus from the DVR without opening the dome.

Upgrade over coax

Get 1080p on your existing analog cabling, changing the camera and DVR rather than the wiring.

Tough and tamper-resistant

An IP67, IK10 vandal dome suits exposed entrances, shopfronts and public areas.

§ 05Where it fits

Right at home in these scenarios

Shopfronts and entrances

Frame a doorway exactly with the motorised lens and resist tampering with the IK10 dome.

Dim foyers and corridors

Use the ultra-low-light sensor where lighting is poor and a standard camera struggles.

Undercover car parks

Cover a bay or ramp and adjust the zoom remotely as the layout changes.

Analog system upgrades

Step an older coax dome site up to an adjustable 1080p camera without new cable.

§ 06Setup

Installation & setup

01

What's in the box

One DS-2CC52D9T-AVPIT3ZE dome camera with a mounting template, fixings and a quick guide. The DVR, coaxial cable and 24 VAC or 12 VDC power supply are supplied separately.

02

Installation requirements

Mount it on a wall or ceiling over the area to cover, run coaxial cable back to a Turbo HD DVR, and provide 24 VAC or 12 VDC power, or use a PoC-capable DVR over the coax. Set the output format to match your DVR, then use the up-the-coax menu to set the motorised zoom and focus. This is not a PoE or network camera, so no network switch is needed.

§ 07Questions

Frequently asked about the DS-2CC52D9T-AVPIT3ZE

Q.01

Is the DS-2CC52D9T-AVPIT3ZE a network or analog camera?

It is an analog Turbo HD (TVI 4.0) camera, not an IP camera. It sends 1080p video over coaxial cable to a DVR, so it does not use a network cable or PoE. It suits upgrading an existing analog dome to high definition.
Q.02

What makes it an ultra-low-light camera?

It pairs a high-sensitivity sensor with 120 dB true WDR, so it holds a usable picture in dim light and balances bright and dark areas in the same scene. In full darkness it falls back to EXIR infrared up to 40 m, where the image is black and white.
Q.03

What does the motorised lens do?

The 2.8 to 12 mm lens is powered, so you set the zoom and focus remotely from a compatible DVR instead of opening the dome. That makes it easy to frame a doorway, aisle or forecourt and to adjust it later without returning to the camera.
Q.04

What recorder do I need?

A Turbo HD DVR such as the iDS-7208HTHI-M2/S. 1 HD analog output (TVI) and 1 CVBS output
Q.05

Can I reuse my existing coax cable?

Yes. In good condition, the coaxial cable that fed an older analog dome will carry this 1080p signal, so you usually change only the camera and the DVR rather than re-cabling. That is the main reason to choose Turbo HD over a full IP rebuild.
Q.06

Is it vandal resistant?

Yes. It has an IK10-rated metal dome built to take impact, along with an IP67 rating against dust and water, so it suits exposed entrances, shopfronts and public areas where a camera could be knocked or tampered with.
Q.07

How is it powered?

It runs on 24 VAC or 12 VDC from a separate supply, and supports power-over-coax on a matching DVR to simplify cabling. Unlike an IP camera it does not draw power over a network cable, so plan a suitable supply at the camera or use a PoC DVR.
Q.08

What does PoC mean here?

PoC is power-over-coax: with a compatible DVR, the camera draws power along the same coaxial cable that carries the video, so you avoid running a separate power cable to the dome. It needs a DVR that supports the HIKVISION-C PoC standard.

§ 09Bundles

Recommended packages

01

Record it on a Turbo HD DVR

This is an analog camera, so it connects by coax to a Turbo HD DVR rather than a network recorder. The 8-channel iDS-7208HTHI-M2/S DVR accepts this and other TVI/AHD/CVI cameras; add a surveillance-grade drive like the 6 TB for weeks of footage.

02

Simplify cabling with PoC

If your DVR supports power-over-coax, the camera can draw power along the coax, so you avoid a separate power run to the dome on a matching DVR.

03

Plan the power

If you are not using PoC, allow for a 24 VAC or 12 VDC supply at or near the camera, or a central analog power box alongside the coax.
