The Hikvision iDS-7208HTHI-M2/S is an 8-channel AcuSense DVR built for Australian homes and small businesses that want HD analog recording with real AI. It accepts five signal types adaptively (HDTVI, AHD, HDCVI, CVBS and IP), so it works with almost any camera, and it can expand from 8 analog inputs to as many as 16 IP cameras.

Deep-learning Motion Detection 2.0 classifies humans and vehicles to slash false alarms from leaves, shadows and light changes, and it adds line-crossing detection, intrusion detection and 8-channel facial detection. It records up to 8MP at 15fps with efficient H.265 Pro+ compression to keep storage and bandwidth down.

Two SATA bays take surveillance drives up to 10TB each, a 4K HDMI output and an independent VGA output drive two monitors, and Hik-Connect gives remote viewing on a phone. It is supplied without a hard drive, so you choose the capacity.

Wire analog cameras to the BNC inputs over coax; IP cameras are added over the network port (up to 16 channels total).
