Description

The Hikvision AE-VC253T-IT is a 1080p mobile camera built for vehicles - buses, trucks, vans and fleet machinery. A rugged metal square body, a 4-pin aviation connector and an IP68 rating handle constant vibration, dust and water, while infrared up to 15 m covers the cabin or rear in the dark. It outputs an analog Turbo HD (TVI) signal, so it connects to a mobile DVR over a single aviation cable.

What the AE-VC253T-IT is

The Hikvision AE-VC253T-IT is a purpose-built mobile camera for in-vehicle and fleet surveillance.

Its compact metal square body measures just 83.2 x 46 x 41.6 mm, so it mounts discreetly in a bus cabin, a truck cab, a van load space or on machinery without getting in the way, and a 4-pin aviation connector locks the video and power connection against the constant vibration of a moving vehicle.

It is made for hard service.

The housing is IP68 against dust and water, it operates from -40 °C to 75 °C, and infrared up to 15 m keeps the cabin or rear visible at night.

A Progressive Scan CMOS sensor delivers 1080p at 25 fps, and you choose a 2.1 mm lens for a wide cabin view or 2.8 mm for a tighter angle.

It draws very little power - up to 2.5 W from a 9-16 VDC vehicle supply.

One important note on how it connects.

This is an analog Turbo HD (TVI) camera, not an IP camera.

It sends its video over the aviation cable to a mobile DVR (MDVR) designed for vehicles, rather than to a network NVR, and it has no microphone or speaker.

Match it to an MDVR that supports 1080p Turbo HD input and the aviation connector standard, and run the cabling so the plug is supported and strain-relieved.

Installation requirements

Mount it on a firm surface in the cabin, load space or on the vehicle body, aimed at the area to cover. Run the aviation cable to the MDVR, connect 9-16 VDC vehicle power, and make sure the connector is supported and strain-relieved so vibration does not loosen it.
