Installation Requirements
1. Power: PoE (IEEE 802.3af, max 10.5W) or 12V DC. 2. Cable: Cat5e or Cat6, max 100m. 3. Mounting: Wall or soffit. Use the included junction box for weatherproof cable entry. Camera weighs approx. 600g. 4. For alarm connections: Wire external sensor to terminal block on the pigtail cable.

What does the AS suffix mean?
AS = Alarm and Audio I/O. This model has terminal connections for external alarm sensors and audio devices (1 input, 1 output each). The base model without AS doesn't have these.

Does it record audio by itself?
Yes. Built-in mic captures ambient sound. The AS version also lets you connect an external microphone or speaker for two-way communication.

What's the frame rate with AI enabled?
With AI features active (SMD, intrusion detection), the max frame rate is 20fps at 8MP. With AI disabled, it reaches 25/30fps. For most security use, 20fps is more than enough.

Can I choose between 2.8mm and 3.6mm lenses?
Yes. 2.8mm gives a wider 107° horizontal view — good for close areas like entries and carports. 3.6mm narrows to 84° but reaches further — better for longer driveways or corridors.
Q.05
Is this the same as the HDW3866EMP turret?
No. The HFW3866EP is a bullet (wall-mount, visible deterrent). The HDW3866EMP is a turret (ceiling/wall, more discreet). They share similar specs but differ in form factor and mounting style.

Order before 2pm (Sydney time) on a business day and in-stock items are dispatched the same day. Most orders arrive within 1–4 business days Australia-wide; remote and regional areas can take a little longer. You'll receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order leaves the warehouse.
How much is shipping?
Standard shipping is free on all orders over $300 AUD, Australia-wide. Orders under $300 ship at a flat rate of $25, calculated at checkout. Tracking is included on every order.
What warranty do you offer?
All cameras, NVRs and DVRs come with a 3-year back-to-base manufacturer warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship, in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Hard drives and accessories are covered as set out in our Warranty Policy.
What is your return policy?
You have 30 days from the day you receive your order to request a change-of-mind return. Items must be unopened, factory-sealed and in resalable condition. A 15% restocking fee applies and return postage is at your cost. Faulty or incorrectly supplied items are different: we cover the return shipping and refund or replace at no charge. Do you offer installation?
We can connect you with licensed installers in Sydney and Melbourne. Installation typically starts from around $200 per camera depending on cable runs and site conditions. Email sales@smarket.com.au with your address and camera count for a quote.
