This model has a motorised 2.7–13.5 mm zoom lens, so you can adjust the field of view remotely. The AS-PV version has a fixed 2.8 mm lens — wider angle, but no zoom.

Does the zoom affect night vision distance?
Yes. At the wide end you get about 30 m of IR reach. Zoomed in, IR extends to around 50 m because the beam is concentrated.
