What the BPR2-WP12 is
The Bosch BPR2-WP12 is the pet-friendly version of Bosch's Blue Line Gen2 PIR detector, made for homes with cats or dogs where you still want reliable intruder detection. Two Fresnel lenses produce a sharply focused, high-density 77-zone pattern with an extra three lookdown zones, giving 12 m x 12 m wall-to-wall coverage at a 94-degree angle from a wall or corner.
It is built to be quick to fit and steady in use. First Step Processing sets the detector's sensitivity automatically based on the signal it sees, so there is no sensitivity pot to adjust, and dynamic temperature compensation keeps catch performance even as room temperature changes. The installer can turn pet immunity on or off: with it on, the detector ignores signals from one or two pets up to 20 kg, or numerous rodents, while still responding to a person. A self-locking enclosure with an integrated bubble level and sealed optics makes for a clean, draft-free install.
A couple of honest points. It is a wired detector - it connects by cable to an alarm panel via a normally-closed relay output and a tamper output - not a wireless device. And pet immunity relies on correct mounting: Bosch advises mounting it level at 2.2 m to 2.75 m on a wall or corner, and notes that if you ceiling-mount it on the optional B338 bracket, pet immunity can no longer be assured. It is genuine Bosch stock with local 3-year warranty.

Installation & setup
What's in the box
One BPR2-WP12 detector and a hardware pack (two anchors, two screws and a cable tie) with an installation guide. The alarm panel and cabling are not included.
Installation requirements
Mount it level at 2.2 m to 2.75 m on a flat wall or in a corner (optional B335-3 swivel or B328 gimbal brackets help aim it). Wire the normally-closed alarm output to a detection zone and the tamper to a 24-hour circuit on your panel, set pet immunity on or off, then walk-test the coverage before arming. If you ceiling-mount it on the optional B338 bracket, pet immunity is no longer assured.
