The Hikvision DS-2DE3A400BW-DE is a compact pan-and-tilt camera that solves the blind-spot problem of a fixed camera without the cost of a full speed dome.

Its motorised base pans a full 350° and tilts from 0 to 90°, so you - or an operator - can swing the view across a driveway, forecourt or yard and follow activity as it happens.

What sets it apart at night is ColorVu.

An F1.0 super-aperture lens and a sensitive 1/1.8" sensor keep the picture in full colour down to near-darkness, and a white-light supplement reaching up to 30 m fills in when it is truly dark, doubling as a visible deterrent.

It records 4 MP at 2560 x 1440, balances harsh light with 120 dB WDR, and uses AcuSense deep-learning analytics to tell people and vehicles apart from animals, rain and moving trees so your alerts stay meaningful.

A built-in speaker and audio line-in/out let you set up two-way talk—connect an external microphone to listen in and warn off a visitor.

One DS-2DE3A400BW-DE 4MP ColorVu PT camera with mounting hardware and documentation. The PoE switch or NVR, network cable and any bracket are supplied separately.

Installation requirements

Ceiling-mount it on a surface that can carry around 1.1 kg, aimed to cover the area you want to sweep, and run a single network cable back to a PoE (802.3at) switch or NVR. Connect it, then set the pan-and-tilt presets, the ColorVu day/night and white-light behaviour, two-way audio and the AcuSense rules in the software. Add it to a Hikvision NVR for recording.
