Description

The Hikvision DS-2CD2187G3-LIS2UY is an 8 MP (4K) ColorVu 3.0 hybrid dome camera that combines round-the-clock detail with smart lighting that adapts to the scene. An F1.0 super-aperture lens and next-generation sensor deliver full-colour low-light images, Smart Hybrid Light switches between infrared and white light up to 30 m, and AcuSense flags people and vehicles. The tough housing is IP67, IK10 and carries the -Y anti-corrosion finish.

The Hikvision DS-2CD2187G3-LIS2UY is a third-generation ColorVu dome built for sites that want reliable 4K coverage in any light.

It captures 3840 x 2160 detail through an F1.0 super-aperture lens, and HikAI-ISP imaging with 130 dB scene-adaptive WDR keeps faces and number plates readable against glare and deep shadow.

Its standout feature is Smart Hybrid Light.

By default it uses discreet infrared at night for black-and-white images, and when it detects a person or vehicle it switches to white light for full-colour footage, with supplementary lighting reaching up to 30 m.

You get the deterrence and colour of a white-light camera without leaving a floodlight on all night.

AcuSense deep-learning analytics classify human and vehicle targets, so motion and perimeter rules - line crossing, intrusion, region entry and exit - focus on real activity.

A built-in arrayed dual-microphone captures clear audio alongside the video.

It is built to last in tough spots.

The housing is IP67 against dust and rain, IK10 against impact, and the -Y model adds an anti-corrosion finish for coastal and industrial sites.

Two honest notes: the dual-microphone records audio but there is no built-in speaker, so it is not a two-way talk camera on its own; and at night the camera uses IR unless it switches to white light on a detection.

Power it from PoE or 12 VDC and record it to a Hikvision AcuSense NVR.

Installation requirements

Mount it on a wall, eave or ceiling over the area to cover and power it from a PoE switch or NVR or a 12 VDC supply. Connect the network, set the Smart Hybrid Light day/night behaviour and the AcuSense perimeter rules in the software, and add it to a Hikvision NVR for recording and event search. Add an external speaker to the audio output if you need talk-back.

Does the white light stay on all night?
No. Smart Hybrid Light uses discreet infrared by default and only switches to white light for full-colour footage when it detects a person or vehicle, up to 30 m. You can configure the behaviour, so you get colour and deterrence when it matters without a floodlight burning all night.

Is it full colour at night like a ColorVu camera?
It is a ColorVu 3.0 hybrid camera. Its F1.0 lens keeps colour in low light, and when white light is active it gives full-colour images in the dark. Left in infrared mode the night image is black-and-white, so you choose detail or stealth per scene.

Does it have two-way audio?
