What the DS-2CD2187G2H-LI(SU) is

The Hikvision DS-2CD2187G2H-LISU is an 8 MP dome that combines true 4K resolution with Smart Hybrid Light, so it reads detail by day and keeps colour at night.

A 1/1.8" sensor and an F1.0 aperture capture 3840 x 2160 video with the light needed to identify faces and number plates, and 130 dB WDR balances bright entry lights against deep shadow.

At night the camera works the way most sites prefer.

It holds quiet infrared until AcuSense detects a person or vehicle, then white light switches on for full-colour footage up to 30 m.

Because the colour light only fires on a real detection, you avoid constant glare while still recording who was there.

AcuSense deep-learning analytics classify human and vehicle targets, so line-crossing and intrusion alarms ignore animals, rain and foliage, and a built-in microphone records audio with the video.

It is built for an exposed mounting position.

The dome is IP67 against dust and rain and IK10 against impact, takes a 2.8 mm or 4 mm lens, and runs on a single PoE cable or 12 VDC.

Record it to a Hikvision AcuSense NVR so the human and vehicle events stay searchable.

This model has a microphone for audio but no speaker, so it records sound rather than offering two-way talk-back.

One DS-2CD2187G2H-LISU fixed dome camera with a mounting template, fixings and a quick guide. The PoE switch or NVR, network cable, microSD card and any junction box are supplied separately.

Mount it on a wall or ceiling above the area to cover and run one network cable to a PoE switch or NVR, or wire 12 VDC. Frame the scene, set the Smart Hybrid Light and AcuSense rules in the software, and add it to a Hikvision AcuSense NVR for recording and event search.
