No — AcuSense Gen 2 uses deep learning to classify only humans and vehicles as alarm triggers. Motion from pets, swaying branches, or passing insects will not generate alerts, which is a major practical benefit for Australian outdoor environments.

Does it need a separate power supply, or can it run directly off a PoE NVR?
It supports IEEE 802.3af PoE (Class 3, max 7.2W), so a standard Hikvision PoE NVR or PoE switch will power it directly over the network cable — no separate power adapter needed.

Yes, there is a built-in microSD card slot supporting up to 512GB. It also supports Auto Network Replenishment (ANR), which buffers recordings to the card and syncs back to the NVR if the network connection drops.

You have 30 days from the day you receive your order to request a change-of-mind return. Items must be unopened, factory-sealed and in resalable condition. A 15% restocking fee applies and return postage is at your cost. Faulty or incorrectly supplied items are different: we cover the return shipping and refund or replace at no charge.
