The Hikvision DS-2CD5A46G0-IZS is a 4 MP DarkFighter motorised varifocal bullet aimed at professional sites that need to watch a long approach in poor light.

The large 1/1.8" sensor and an F1.2 P-Iris lens capture clean, low-noise detail in dim conditions, and 140 dB Wide Dynamic Range balances bright and dark areas in the same frame, which helps along driveways, fence lines and entrances where headlights or a bright sky would wash out an ordinary camera.

AcuSense deep-learning analytics classify human and vehicle targets, so line-crossing, intrusion and motion events trigger on people and cars and skip animals, rain and moving branches; the camera also captures faces for review.

The motorised 2.8 to 12 mm lens sets zoom and focus remotely, and built-in infrared reaches up to 50 m for clear black and white footage at night.

An RS-485 port and three alarm inputs and outputs let it tie into wider security systems.

This is a metal bullet rated IP67 and IK10 with a built-in heater for cold or exposed positions, and it ships with a DS-1260ZJ junction box for tidy cabling.

It supports a microSD card up to 256 GB and runs on PoE, 12 VDC or 24 VAC.

Audio is handled through a line-in and a line-out connector for an external microphone and speaker; there is no built-in microphone or speaker on this model.

What's in the box

One DS-2CD5A46G0-IZS bullet camera with the DS-1260ZJ junction box, a mounting template, fixings and a quick guide. The PoE switch or NVR, network cable and microSD card are supplied separately.

Installation requirements

Mount it on a wall, eave or pole aimed along the area you want to cover, using the supplied junction box for the cabling, and run one network cable back to a PoE switch or NVR, or use 12 VDC or 24 VAC. Set the zoom, focus and AcuSense rules in the software, add external audio to the line-in and line-out if needed, and record it to a Hikvision AcuSense NVR.
