What the DS-PR1-WB is

The Hikvision DS-PR1-WB is a wireless repeater for the AX PRO alarm range.

It sits between the control panel and the system's wireless detectors and relays their 433 MHz two-way signals, which extends reliable coverage to devices that are too far from the hub or are blocked by distance, dense walls or a detached building.

Placed at the edge of the panel's reliable range, it gives detectors beyond that point a strong path back to the panel.

It uses 433 MHz two-way wireless with AES-128 encryption, reaches up to 800 metres in open area, supports auto-pairing, and importantly supports PIRCAM detectors so image-verification still works across the extended range.

Three LEDs show register/signal, power and fault status, and front and back tamper protection alerts the system if it is opened or removed.

Unlike battery detectors, the repeater is mains powered on 100 to 240 VAC and has a built-in lithium battery that gives up to about 35 hours of backup at normal temperature if the mains fails.

Note that the battery cannot charge below 10 C and its backup time is significantly reduced in the cold, so keep it in a temperate spot and make sure the adapter stays connected.

It mounts on a wall, measures 150 x 150 x 25 mm and weighs 372 g.

What's in the box

One DS-PR1-WB wireless repeater with power adapter and mounting hardware. A compatible Hikvision AX PRO alarm system is required and not included.

Installation requirements

Mount the repeater on a wall roughly midway between the panel and the detectors that need more range, in a temperate spot near a power point, and connect the mains adapter. Enrol it to your AX PRO panel using auto-pairing, then check that the affected detectors now report strong signal strength and stable supervision. Keep the adapter connected at all times so the backup battery stays charged, and avoid cold locations where charging and runtime are reduced.
