Installation Requirements
1. Power: PoE (IEEE 802.3af) or ePoE or 12V DC. Max power under 12.5 W. 2. Cable: Cat5e or Cat6, max 100 m (ePoE extends up to 300 m at reduced speed). 3. Mounting: Ceiling or wall. Camera weighs 0.92 kg. Use junction box (PFA138) for neat cable management. 4. HDMI: If using the HDMI output, run a separate HDMI cable (Type A) to your monitor.
App Setup
1. Download DMSS app (iOS or Android). Create an account. 2. Power the camera via PoE. Wait about 60 seconds. 3. Scan the QR code or add by serial number. 4. Adjust zoom remotely. Enable face detection or people counting if needed.

Dahua's extended PoE. It lets you run Ethernet up to 300 m (at 10 Mbps) instead of the standard 100 m. Useful for long cable runs in large buildings.

Is 4 MP enough compared to 8 MP?
For most indoor and medium-distance outdoor use, 4 MP (2688 × 1520) is plenty. The WizMind AI features and motorised lens add more practical value than extra pixels in many scenarios.
