Choose an indoor monitor that matches your system
Start with the model number of your door station and any existing distributor. The indoor range includes IP, two-wire and analogue devices; these connection types are not interchangeable. Even within one brand, confirm that the exact hardware generation and firmware support your intended pairing.
Compare the features you will use
- Screen and controls: compare display size, touch controls and mounting position. This range includes compact screens, 7-inch models and larger displays.
- Connection: check whether the chosen model uses Ethernet, a supported Wi-Fi connection, a two-wire system or analogue wiring.
- Power: verify PoE, a local power adapter or the correct distributor, as applicable.
- Expansion: confirm support for extra indoor stations, entrances or linked devices rather than relying on screen size.

Can an indoor monitor work without a door station?
For entrance video calls, the monitor needs a compatible calling device and the required system connections. Other functions depend on the model and configuration; the screen alone is not a complete entrance intercom.
Can I replace a two-wire monitor with an IP monitor?
Not as a direct assumption. Confirm whether the existing system provides a supported integration path and the required power and network connections. Match the complete system, not just the screen size.
Does a Wi-Fi monitor still need power?
Yes. Wi-Fi is a network feature. Supply power by the method specified for that monitor, such as an approved adapter or supported PoE connection.
Are table brackets included with indoor monitors?
Check the individual product inclusions. Some installations require a separate model-specific table bracket; wall-mount hardware and desk stands are different accessories.
