SKU: NVR4032H
Description

The TP-Link VIGI NVR4032H is a 32-channel network video recorder for larger and multi-area sites. It records cameras up to 8MP (4K) with H.265+ compression, has independent 4K HDMI and VGA outputs for two separate screens, and takes four surveillance hard drives of up to 16TB each — up to 64TB of 24/7 storage. § 01Overview

What the NVR4032H is

The TP-Link VIGI NVR4032H is a 32-channel network video recorder for sites that have outgrown an eight or sixteen-channel box — larger retail, schools, multi-building facilities and commercial premises. It records cameras up to 8MP (4K), carries 320 Mbps of incoming bandwidth to manage up to 32 high-resolution streams, and uses H.265+ compression to keep that volume of footage manageable.

An important design point: the NVR4032H has no built-in PoE ports. Cameras are powered by an external PoE switch (or their own power supply) and connect to the same network as the recorder, which keeps the cabling flexible across a large or spread-out site but means you budget for a PoE switch separately. This is the main practical difference from the NVR2016H-16P, which powers its cameras directly. The recorder runs on mains AC, has independent 4K HDMI and VGA outputs so two operators or screens can work at once, and adds RS232 and alarm in/out for integration.

Storage is four SATA bays, each taking a surveillance-grade drive of up to 16TB, for up to 64TB total — enough for weeks of continuous footage from a full set of cameras. The drives are not included; fit WD Purple or Seagate SkyHawk drives sized to your needs. On the intelligence side the NVR4032H adds built-in face recognition to classify visitors, staff and strangers, plus smart search to find clips by motion, person or vehicle characteristics quickly. It supports ONVIF Profile S/T for third-party cameras and is managed through the VIGI app, Security Manager or web. It is genuine stock with a local 3-year warranty and support.

§ 04Why choose this

Built for the way you actually use the NVR4032H

Scales to 32 cameras

A 32-channel recorder with 320 Mbps bandwidth handles a full multi-area site of high-resolution cameras.

Flexible cabling

With no built-in PoE you use external switches, which suits large or spread-out sites where switch placement matters.

Built-in face recognition

On-recorder face recognition and smart search speed up reviewing footage and managing access.

Plenty of storage

Four SATA bays take up to 16TB each, for up to 64TB of continuous recording.

§ 05Where it fits

Right at home in these scenarios

Larger retail and commercial

Run dozens of cameras across a store, warehouse or office block from a single 32-channel recorder.

Schools and campuses

Cover buildings, grounds and entries with NDAA-compliant recording and face recognition for access oversight.

Multi-area facilities

Suit sites that already run a structured network with PoE switches and need a central recorder.

Projects planning to grow

32 channels give room to expand from a partial rollout toward full-site coverage.

§ 06Setup

Installation & setup

01

What's in the box

One VIGI NVR4032H recorder, a mouse, power cord, HDD power and data cables, terminal blocks, mounting brackets, screws and an installation guide. Hard drives, a PoE switch, network cables, cameras and a monitor are supplied separately.

02

Installation requirements

Fit one to four surveillance-grade SATA drives, connect a monitor over HDMI or VGA, and connect the recorder and an external PoE switch to the same network so the cameras are reachable. Add the cameras, set the recording schedule, and test each channel before relying on the system.

§ 07Questions

Frequently asked about the NVR4032H

Q.01

Does the NVR4032H have built-in PoE ports?

No. Unlike the PoE VIGI recorders, the NVR4032H has no built-in PoE ports. You power the cameras with an external PoE switch, or use cameras with their own supply, and connect everything to the same network as the recorder. Budget for a suitable PoE switch alongside this NVR.
Q.02

How many cameras and what resolution does it handle?

It records up to 32 channels and supports cameras up to 8MP (4K), with 320 Mbps of incoming bandwidth to manage that many high-resolution streams. H.265+ compression keeps the storage and bandwidth needed under control.
Q.03

Does it come with a hard drive, and how much storage can it hold?

No drive is included. It has four SATA bays, each taking a surveillance-grade drive of up to 16TB, for up to 64TB total. Fit WD Purple or Seagate SkyHawk drives sized to your camera count, resolution and how long you keep footage.
Q.04

What is the face recognition feature?

The NVR4032H has built-in face recognition that can recognise and classify visitors, staff and strangers, which is useful for attendance and security. It also offers smart search to find clips quickly by motion type or by person and vehicle characteristics.
Q.05

Can it drive two monitors at once?

Yes. It has independent 4K HDMI and VGA outputs, so two screens can show different views at the same time - for example one for live monitoring and one for playback or configuration.
Q.06

Will it work with my existing cameras?

It supports ONVIF Profile S/T, so it works with VIGI cameras and many ONVIF-compliant third-party cameras. For full smart-event support, VIGI cameras paired with the VIGI app and Security Manager give the most complete features.
Q.07

Is this recorder NDAA compliant?

Yes. TP-Link VIGI is NDAA compliant, which suits government, education and other sites with approved-hardware requirements. The recorder is genuine stock supplied with a local 3-year warranty and support.
