The TP-Link VIGI C445 is a 4MP full-colour turret camera for around-the-clock outdoor and indoor monitoring. Its compact turret shape resists glare and is easy to aim under an eave or on a ceiling. A high-sensitivity sensor with white LEDs keeps the picture in full colour at night to about 30 metres, with infrared on hand for a discreet view. Human and vehicle AI keeps alerts meaningful, two-way audio lets you talk through the camera, and the IP67 metal housing handles Australian weather. It runs over a single PoE cable or 12 V DC and comes in a 2.8 mm or 4 mm lens.

What the VIGI C445 is

The TP-Link VIGI C445 is a 4MP full-colour turret camera that gives sharp, true-colour footage day and night in a neat, easy-to-aim housing. At 2688 × 1520 it captures plenty of detail for identifying people and vehicles around a home, shop or office, and the turret form factor sits cleanly under an eave or on a ceiling while resisting the glare that bullet cameras can pick up from their own light.

After dark it holds full colour using a high-sensitivity sensor and built-in white LEDs to about 30 metres, and it can switch to 850 nm infrared, also to 30 metres, when you want a discreet black-and-white view. Human and vehicle classification filters out animals, swaying branches and shadows so alerts focus on people and cars, while the built-in microphone and speaker give you two-way audio for talking to visitors or warning someone off. Smart events such as line-crossing, intrusion and loitering let you set precise rules.

Choose the 2.8 mm lens for a wide 100° view of open areas, or the 4 mm for a tighter, longer view of an entrance or driveway. The IP67 metal housing copes with rain, dust and heat, H.265+ keeps recordings efficient, and a microSD card of up to 512 GB adds edge storage. One PoE cable carries power and data, or use 12 V DC. It pairs with a VIGI NVR or any ONVIF/RTSP recorder, and is genuine stock with a local 3-year warranty.

What's in the box

One VIGI C445 turret camera with mounting accessories, waterproof cable attachments and a quick start guide. An NVR, PoE switch or power supply, network cable and any microSD card are supplied separately.

Installation requirements

Fit it to a wall or ceiling aimed across the area, run one network cable to a PoE switch or VIGI NVR (or use 12 V DC), and activate it in the VIGI app or Security Manager. Set the lens to suit the scene, choose the night mode and AI rules, and test the view before relying on it.

Does the VIGI C445 stay in colour at night?
Yes. It keeps full colour in low light using a high-sensitivity sensor and built-in white LEDs to around 30 metres. It can also switch to 850 nm infrared, again to 30 metres, for a discreet black-and-white view when you prefer it.

Can I choose the lens angle?
Yes. The C445 comes in a 2.8 mm lens with a wide 100° horizontal view for open areas, or a 4 mm lens with a tighter 80.4° view that reaches further for entrances and driveways. Pick the one that matches the scene you need to cover.

Does it support two-way audio?
Yes. It has a built-in microphone and speaker with about a 5 metre pickup range, so through the VIGI app you can hear the scene and speak back to deter someone or talk to a visitor.

It classifies people and vehicles to filter out irrelevant motion, and supports smart events such as line-crossing, intrusion, region entry and exit, and loitering. You set the zones and rules so alerts focus on what matters at your site.

It runs over one PoE cable (802.3af/at) or a 12 V DC supply. The turret housing mounts on a wall or ceiling and aims easily into the corner of an area, which also helps reduce glare from its own night lighting.

Will it work with a non-VIGI NVR?
Yes. It supports ONVIF (Profile S) and RTSP, so it can be added to a third-party NVR, NAS or software that supports ONVIF, including many Hikvision and Dahua recorders. For the full smart-event and management features, a TP-Link VIGI NVR is recommended.
