1. Power Source: Requires PoE switch or PoE injector (IEEE 802.3af Class 3, maximum 7.5W) as NBN routers lack PoE capability, or 12 VDC power supply 2. Network Connection: Cat5e or Cat6 outdoor-rated Ethernet cable running from PoE switch to camera location, with weatherproof junction box recommended for cable connections 3. Mounting Surface: Solid wall or ceiling surface capable of supporting 550g camera weight, with silicone sealant required for weatherproofing wall penetrations in outdoor installations

App Setup

1. Download Hik-Connect app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store, then register account using email address and select Australia as region during registration 2. Enable Hik-Connect service via camera web interface under Configuration → Network → Platform Access, then verify email with security code 3. Add camera by scanning QR code or manual verification code entry for remote viewing over WiFi, 3G, 4G, or LTE networks with 128-bit SSL encryption
