What the DS-2CD2387G3-LIS2UY/SL is
This Hikvision mixed CCTV kit is built around a simple idea: put full-colour ColorVu cameras where colour matters most and cost-effective AcuSense cameras everywhere else.
You get two 8MP ColorVu turrets and four 6MP AcuSense turrets recording to an 8-channel Hikvision PoE NVR with a 4TB hard drive already installed, so the system arrives ready to mount and run.
The two 8MP ColorVu cameras use a large sensor and an F1.0 lens with Smart Hybrid Light to deliver vivid full-colour footage at night, and they add two-way audio and an active strobe-and-audio deterrent, so they are ideal at the front door, driveway or any angle where you want to see colour detail and warn intruders off.
The four 6MP AcuSense turrets cover the rest of the property with deep-learning human and vehicle detection, a built-in microphone and 30 m infrared night vision, keeping alerts focused on real activity rather than pets or weather.
The DS-7608NI-M2/8P NVR has eight built-in PoE ports, so each camera connects with a single network cable that carries both power and data, and it records up to 4K.
AcuSense runs end to end, so you can search recordings by people or vehicles to find an event quickly.
The kit uses six of the eight channels, leaving two spare to add cameras later.
Note that the ColorVu cameras give full colour at night via their warm white light, while the AcuSense turrets use infrared and so record in black and white after dark.
The 4TB hard drive is included with this kit; in everyday use it stores roughly a week or more of continuous footage from six cameras, depending on resolution, frame rate and activity.

What's in the box
Two 8MP ColorVu turret cameras, four 6MP AcuSense turret cameras, a DS-7608NI-M2/8P 8-channel PoE NVR with a 4TB hard drive fitted, camera mounting hardware and quick start guides. Network cable is run to suit your site and is not pre-cut to length.
Installation requirements
Mount each camera to a wall or eave, ideally 2.5 to 3 m high, angled down over the area to watch, and run a single Cat5e or Cat6 cable from each camera back to a PoE port on the NVR. The NVR needs a mains power outlet and a connection to your router for remote viewing. Power up, add the cameras (they connect plug-and-play on the NVR's PoE ports), set detection zones and the ColorVu light and deterrence options, then set up the Hik-Connect app for phone access.
