§ 01Overview

What the DS-PM1-RT-HWB is

The Hikvision DS-PM1-RT-HWB is a Tri-X wireless receiver that extends Hikvision's AX Hybrid PRO wired alarm platform with wireless capability.

It connects to a hardwired AX Hybrid PRO control panel, the DS-PHA64, over the Speed-X bus, and adds a 433 MHz two-way wireless interface so you can bring Hikvision wireless detectors and sounders into what is otherwise a cabled system.

Through the receiver the panel can take up to 32 wireless detectors plus up to 4 indoor and 8 outdoor wireless sounders, which makes it ideal for hybrid installations where the main zones are wired for reliability but some areas - a detached garage, a shed, a hard-to-cable room - are easier to cover wirelessly.

The wireless link uses 433 MHz two-way communication with 128-bit AES encryption and frequency hopping to resist jamming and interference, and reaches up to about 1300 metres in open space.

Note that it does not enrol portable emergency (panic) buttons.

It is powered over the bus on 9 to 28 VDC (drawing about 100 mA maximum at 12 V) and mounts on a wall, measuring 110 x 155 x 32 mm and weighing 233 g.

Two LEDs show power/find-me and alarm/fault status, and its operating range is -10 to 40 C.

It is a receiver for the wired AX Hybrid PRO panel, not a standalone wireless hub.

It is genuine Australian Hikvision stock with local warranty and support.

§ 04Why choose this

Built for the way you actually use the DS-PM1-RT-HWB

Best of wired and wireless

Keep the reliability of a hardwired AX Hybrid PRO system for the main zones, then add wireless detectors and sounders where cabling is impractical.

Plenty of capacity

One receiver brings up to 32 wireless detectors and up to 12 wireless sounders (4 indoor, 8 outdoor) into the wired panel.

Secure, robust link

433 MHz two-way wireless with 128-bit AES encryption and frequency hopping keeps signalling protected and resistant to jamming.

Ideal for retrofits

Where adding new cable is disruptive, the receiver lets you extend an existing AX Hybrid PRO system wirelessly into garages, sheds and detached rooms.

§ 05Where it fits

Right at home in these scenarios

Hybrid home alarms

Wire the main living zones for reliability and use wireless detectors via the receiver for a garage, granny flat or hard-to-cable room.

Retrofit and extensions

Add coverage to a renovated or extended property without chasing new cable through finished walls.

Detached buildings

Bring a shed, workshop or outbuilding into the wired alarm using wireless detectors and an outdoor wireless sounder.

Commercial sites

Extend a hardwired AX Hybrid PRO system in offices or retail where some areas are easier to protect wirelessly.

§ 06Setup

Installation & setup

01

What's in the box

One DS-PM1-RT-HWB wireless receiver with mounting hardware. A compatible AX Hybrid PRO panel (DS-PHA64) and Speed-X bus cabling are required and not included.

02

Installation requirements

Mount the receiver on a wall in a central position relative to the wireless devices it will serve, and connect it to the AX Hybrid PRO panel over the Speed-X bus with 9-28 VDC power. Enrol the wireless detectors and sounders through the panel, keeping each within reliable range of the receiver, and walk-test every device before handover. Remember it operates from -10 to 40 C and does not enrol portable panic buttons. Professional installation is recommended for hybrid alarm work.

§ 07Questions

Frequently asked about the DS-PM1-RT-HWB

Q.01

What is the DS-PM1-RT-HWB for?

It is a wireless receiver that adds 433 MHz wireless capability to a wired Hikvision AX Hybrid PRO alarm panel. With it fitted, the hardwired DS-PHA64 panel can use Hikvision wireless detectors and sounders alongside its cabled zones, which is the point of a hybrid system.
Q.02

Which panel does it connect to?

It is designed for the AX Hybrid PRO wired panel, the DS-PHA64-LP/NP, and connects to it over the Speed-X bus. It is not a standalone hub and does not work on its own or with the wireless AX PRO PWA96 panels.
Q.03

How many wireless devices can it add?

Through one receiver the system supports up to 32 wireless detectors, plus up to 4 indoor and 8 outdoor wireless sounders. This lets you cover areas that are difficult to cable while keeping the main zones hardwired.
Q.04

Does it support wireless panic buttons?

No. The receiver supports a wide range of AX wireless detectors and sounders, but portable emergency (panic) buttons are not included in the devices it enrols. Plan those zones accordingly when designing the system.
Q.05

What is the wireless range?

The wireless link reaches up to about 1300 metres in open space. Walls, floors and other obstructions reduce that significantly inside a building, so position the receiver centrally and within reliable range of the wireless devices it serves.
Q.06

How is it powered and where does it mount?

It is powered over the Speed-X bus from the panel on 9 to 28 VDC, drawing about 100 mA at most, and mounts on a wall. It is not battery powered, so it relies on the wired connection to the AX Hybrid PRO panel.
Q.07

Is the wireless connection secure?

Yes. It uses 433 MHz two-way communication with 128-bit AES encryption and frequency hopping, which protects the signalling between the wireless devices and the panel and helps it resist jamming and interference.
