The Hikvision DS-PT1-WB is a wireless tag reader for the Hikvision AX PRO wireless alarm range, giving users a simple, contactless way to operate the system with a Mifare tag instead of a PIN code. Mounted at an entry point, it lets household members or staff arm and disarm the alarm with a single swipe, which is ideal for high-traffic doors where typing a code each time is inconvenient.

This is the 433MHz version (model suffix -WB), and a key point applies to every AX PRO peripheral: the tag reader's radio frequency must match your AX PRO hub. The -WB reads on 433MHz, while the -WE reads on 868MHz, so confirm your hub's band before ordering and pick the matching reader. It communicates over 433MHz two-way wireless with AES-128 encryption, reaching up to 900m in open space, and uses a multi-colour LED to show area, arm, disarm, alarm, fault and signal states. A rear tamper switch alerts the hub immediately if the unit is removed from the wall.

Compatible credentials include the Hikvision DS-PT-M1 Mifare tag and standard Mifare cards. Note that DS-PWA96-series hubs already include a built-in tag-reading area; this external reader is most useful for adding a convenient reading point right at a door, or for giving a DS-PWA64-series hub the tag function it does not have built in. It is powered by three AA batteries for up to two years of standby, has front and rear tamper protection, measures a slim 75 x 124 x 21 mm and is for indoor wall mounting. The AX PRO system is not compatible with the older Axiom range.
