It fills an unused module position when the selected entrance layout does not require another camera, button, reader or display module. This is a filler module, not an electronic reader, camera or calling unit.

It adds PIN-code entry for door release and the ability to call an indoor station, with backlighting behind the keypad buttons. It suits entrances where the main door station needs space for an additional compatible function module. The front cover measures 219 mm by 107 mm by 4 mm. Select the electronic modules and any required protective shield separately, and confirm the complete installation layout before ordering. This is a mounting accessory, not a complete video intercom system or a flush-mount housing.

The Hikvision DS-KABD8003-RS2 is a protective rain shield for a compatible two-module surface-mounted video intercom installation. Made from SECC, it measures 224 mm by 116.4 mm by 58 mm and has a net weight of 0.525 kg. It is designed around the two-module modular door-station arrangement and pairs with the appropriate surface housing, including DS-KD-ACW2. Select the shield alongside the electronic door station and housing; it does not replace either component. Check the exact module layout and available wall space before ordering, and do not assume that the shield makes every assembled intercom system waterproof.

Use the available module positions for a supported door-station and function-module combination. Electronic modules and any required protective shield must be selected separately. This is the surface-mount version, so it should not be substituted for a recessed installation box or treated as a complete intercom kit.
