It is built around an 8-zone hybrid control panel that grows to 48 zones, and the kit includes a wired LCD keypad, two wired PIR motion detectors and three RFID tags so the household can arm and disarm with a tap instead of a code. A built-in IP module reports over your network and connects to the HiLookVision and Hik-Connect apps, with an optional GPRS/3G/4G module available for a second reporting path. Note that this base kit does not include a siren, power supply or backup battery - those are added separately.

The kit gives you the essentials to get a system going: an 8-zone hybrid control panel, a wired LCD keypad for programming and daily use, two wired PIR motion detectors, and three RFID tags so the family can arm and disarm with a tap rather than a PIN.

The panel is built to grow with the site.

It starts at eight hardwired zones and expands to 48 zones as you add detectors, holds up to 46 user codes so everyone can have their own access, and has four on-board outputs (two relay and two I/O) for a siren, strobe or automation.

A built-in IP module brings the panel onto your network for monitored reporting and for the HiLookVision and Hik-Connect apps, so you can arm, disarm and receive alerts from your phone; an optional GPRS/3G/4G module adds a second, independent path for resilience.

Installation requirements

A licensed security installer mounts the panel, wires the keypad and the two PIR detectors to the zones, and connects a siren and a 15 V DC 2.5 A supply with a backup battery (all sold separately). Connect the panel to your network for IP reporting and the app, add the optional GPRS/3G/4G module if a second path is wanted, then program the user codes and RFID tags and walk-test every detector before arming.

Is it a wired or a wireless alarm?
It is primarily a wired (hardwired) system, which is reliable and not dependent on radio range. Being an AX Hybrid panel, it can also take optional wireless devices through an add-on receiver if you want to mix in wireless detectors later.

Do I need a monitoring company to use it?
No. You can self-monitor through the app, which sends push notifications straight to your phone. If you prefer professional monitoring, the IP module (and the optional 4G module) can report to a monitoring centre as well.

What power supply does the panel need?
The panel runs on a 15 V DC 2.5 A supply, with an optional backup battery to keep it running during a mains failure. Both are sold separately and added when the system is installed.
