§ 01Overview
What the iDS-9632NXI-m8-X is
The Hikvision iDS-9632NXI-M8/X is a 32-channel DeepinMind network video recorder with eight drive bays and RAID support, made for large Australian sites that need accurate, on-recorder intelligence such as transport hubs, enterprise campuses and critical infrastructure.
It runs the AI itself: facial recognition across up to 32 libraries (100,000 list images and up to 10 million face captures), perimeter protection, video structuralization and falling-object detection, handled by two deep-learning engines. It connects up to 32 cameras at resolutions up to 32MP, with 320 Mbps incoming and 400 Mbps outgoing bandwidth.
Eight SATA bays accept drives up to 14TB each (112TB total) and run RAID 0/1/5/6/10 for data protection. HDMI1 outputs up to 8K for a control-room display. This is a back-end recorder with no built-in PoE, so cameras are powered from separate switches, and it is supplied without hard drives.
§ 02Engineering

§ 04Why choose this
Built for the way you actually use the iDS-9632NXI-m8-X
RAID-protected storage
Eight SATA bays run RAID 0/1/5/6/10, so a single drive failure need not lose footage on a busy 32-camera system.
Two engines for scale
Dual deep-learning engines share the analytics load across 32 channels, keeping face search and structuralization responsive.
8K output, big libraries
HDMI1 outputs up to 8K, and the recorder manages up to 32 face libraries with millions of face captures for high-security sites.
§ 05Where it fits
Right at home in these scenarios
Transport and logistics hubs
Centralise 32 cameras with on-recorder face alerts, perimeter protection and RAID-protected footage.
Enterprise and corporate campuses
Face search and video structuralization across buildings, lobbies and car parks from one recorder.
Critical infrastructure
Falling-object and perimeter detection plus RAID storage for utilities and high-security facilities.
Large retail and estates
Resolve incidents quickly with structured search across a 32-camera site.
§ 06Setup
Installation & setup
In the box
iDS-9632NXI-M8/X recorder, power cable, mouse and rack-mount hardware. Hard drives are not included.
Powering cameras
This recorder has no built-in PoE. Power all cameras from separate switches sized to a 32-camera system, then add them over the network ports.
Storage and RAID
Fit up to eight surveillance or enterprise SATA drives (up to 14TB each), then configure RAID 0/1/5/6/10 from the storage menu.
AI setup
Build face libraries (up to 32) and enable perimeter protection, video structuralization and falling-object detection for on-recorder analytics.

§ 09Bundles
Recommended packages
Build the storage array
Populate the 8 bays with drives such as a 8TB drive, 6TB drive or 10TB drive, up to 14TB per bay (112TB total).
Power your cameras
With no built-in PoE, power the camera fleet from switches such as the Dahua 18-port managed PoE switch, scaled to your camera count.
Fewer channels needed?
For a 16-channel DeepinMind NVR with built-in PoE, see the iDS-7716NXI-M4/16P/X.
Cameras
Pair with Hikvision IP cameras; the recorder runs facial recognition and structuralization itself, with ANPR and people counting added by compatible cameras.
