The Hikvision DS-PDMCX-E-WB is a large outdoor reed switch for AX PRO alarm systems, made to detect when a gate, roller door, garage door or shed is opened. Standard indoor contacts cannot handle weather, wide gaps or moving doors - this model is built for exactly those outdoor jobs.

Its IP66, UV-stable housing withstands dust and rain and runs from -20 to 60°C. A large external magnet and a detection gap of up to 76mm give the tolerance needed for gates that don't always close to the same spot or for wide roller and garage doors. Because it is wireless, you avoid running alarm cable out to the opening.

It links to the hub over Tri-X two-way wireless, rated up to 1km in open space, with AES-128 encryption and frequency hopping. One CR123A battery lasts up to five years, and front and rear tamper switches report tampering. A built-in alarm input (normally closed, normally open or impulse count) lets a nearby wired contact report through it. Note that the AX PRO system is not compatible with the older Axiom system, so pair it with an AX PRO hub.
