Hikvision DS-PM1-I8O2-H Ax Hybrid Pro RS485 wired Input Expander

SKU: DS-PM1-I8O2-H
Description

The Hikvision DS-PM1-I8O2-H is a Speed-X wired input expander for the AX Hybrid Pro alarm panel. It adds eight on-board wired zones and two collector outputs to a hardwired system, so you can connect more detectors, contacts and output devices than the panel alone supports.

At a glance
- Adds 8 wired zones + 2 outputs to an AX Hybrid Pro (DS-PHA64) panel
- Connects over the Speed-X bus, up to 900m of cable, and cascades to further expanders
- 3EOL wiring (1k alarm / 1k tamper / 2.2k fault) with zone, tamper, mask, fault and short detection
- 11-24VDC input; output 9-12VDC up to 500mA to power wired detectors directly
- Front and rear tamper protection; power and fault LED indicators
- Wired expansion module - not for the wireless AX PRO (PWA96) hub

§ 01Overview

What the DS-PM1-I8O2-H is

The Hikvision DS-PM1-I8O2-H is a Speed-X wired input expander for the AX Hybrid Pro hardwired alarm system. It gives installers a clean way to grow a system: eight extra on-board wired zones for detectors and contacts, plus two collector outputs for sirens, strobes or relays, all added to a compatible AX Hybrid Pro panel without replacing the controller.

It connects to the panel over Hikvision's Speed-X bus, which supports up to 900m of cable, and a second Speed-X port lets you cascade more expanders for larger sites. Each zone uses 3EOL wiring - a 1k alarm resistor, a 1k tamper resistor and a 2.2k fault resistor - so the panel can tell alarm, tamper, masking, fault and short conditions apart on every input.

The module runs on 11-24VDC and provides its own 9-12VDC output at up to 500mA to power connected wired detectors directly, which simplifies wiring. Front and rear tamper switches protect the housing, and power and fault LEDs help with commissioning. This is a wired expander for the AX Hybrid Pro panel - it is not used with the fully wireless AX PRO (PWA96) hub, which expands with wireless devices instead.

DS-PM1-I8O2-H specifications

- Adds 8 on-board wired zones and 2 collector outputs to a compatible AX Hybrid Pro panel, expanding both detection and output control.

- Connects over the Speed-X bus with up to 900m of cable run, and cascades to additional expanders for larger installations.

- 3EOL wiring (1k alarm, 1k tamper, 2.2k fault) lets the panel distinguish alarm, tamper, masking, fault and short on each zone.

- Built-in 9-12VDC output at up to 500mA powers connected wired detectors directly, reducing separate power runs.

- Front and rear tamper switches report any attempt to open or remove the module; power and fault LEDs aid commissioning.

- Runs on 11-24VDC with low quiescent draw; designed for professional hardwired AX Hybrid Pro layouts in homes and commercial sites.

§ 04Why choose this

Built for the way you actually use the DS-PM1-I8O2-H

Grow without replacing the panel

Adds eight wired zones and two outputs to an AX Hybrid Pro system, so you expand instead of upgrading the controller.

Long bus, cascadable

The Speed-X bus runs up to 900m and supports cascading expanders, suiting large homes and commercial sites.

Powers its own zones

A 9-12VDC, 500mA output feeds connected wired detectors directly, cutting separate power runs.

Full fault diagnostics

3EOL wiring reports alarm, tamper, masking, fault and short on each zone for reliable supervision.

§ 05Where it fits

Right at home in these scenarios

Larger homes

Add wired zones for extra doors, windows and detectors across a big house on one Hybrid Pro panel.

Commercial sites

Expand offices, retail, clinics and warehouses that need many supervised wired zones.

Retrofit projects

Reorganise and keep existing wired detectors when modernising to an AX Hybrid Pro system.

Output control

Drive sirens, strobes or relays from the two collector outputs as part of the alarm response.

§ 06Setup

Installation & setup

01

Confirm compatibility

Check the AX Hybrid Pro panel supports the expander and has Speed-X bus capacity before wiring.

02

Wire the bus

Run the Speed-X bus from the panel (up to 900m), set the module address, and cascade further expanders if needed.

03

Wire the zones

Terminate each zone with 3EOL resistors (1k alarm, 1k tamper, 2.2k fault) and power detectors from the 9-12VDC output where suitable.

04

Power and test

Apply 11-24VDC, check the power and fault LEDs, then walk-test every zone and the outputs before handover.

§ 07Questions

Frequently asked about the DS-PM1-I8O2-H

Q.01

What does the DS-PM1-I8O2-H do?

It expands a Hikvision AX Hybrid Pro alarm panel by adding eight wired zones and two outputs, so you can connect more wired detectors, contacts and output devices than the panel supports on its own.
Q.02

Which panel is it compatible with?

It is designed for the AX Hybrid Pro hardwired panel range, such as the DS-PHA64. It is not used with the fully wireless AX PRO (PWA96) hub - that system expands with wireless devices.
Q.03

How far can it be from the panel?

It connects over the Speed-X bus, which supports up to 900m of cable, and you can cascade additional expanders along the bus for larger sites.
Q.04

What is 3EOL wiring?

Each zone uses three end-of-line resistors - 1k for alarm, 1k for tamper and 2.2k for fault - so the panel can tell alarm, tamper, masking, fault and short conditions apart on every input.
Q.05

Can it power my wired detectors?

Yes, it has a 9-12VDC output rated up to 500mA that can power connected wired detectors directly, which saves running separate power.
Q.06

Can I add more than eight zones?

Yes, cascade further expanders over the Speed-X bus to keep adding wired zones, within the panel's overall capacity. Confirm the panel's maximum before ordering.
Q.07

Is it a detector?

No, it is an expansion module. It does not detect anything itself - it provides the wired inputs and outputs that your detectors, contacts and sirens connect to.
Q.08

What power does it need?

It runs on 11-24VDC, typically 12VDC, drawn from the panel or an auxiliary supply, with low standby current.
