On a Solution 6000 it is the module that brings the panel online for the MyAlarm app; it also suits the older Solution 16i and 144 panels.
Communication is built for security and low running cost. It uses 128-bit AES encryption with frequency-variable supervised polling and advanced authentication, keeps a PSTN dialler backup reporting path, and supports Conettix and CSV-IP formats used by most Australian monitoring centres. The RJ45 port is 10/100BASE-TX auto-sensing and works with either a dynamic (DHCP) or a fixed IP address, and an installer can upload, download and review the panel history log locally over the LAN or remotely over the internet.
Two honest notes before you buy. The smartphone app side is a MyAlarm iFob service, which is a paid subscription set up at myalarm.com.au, and app users log in with their normal alarm PIN. And when fitting it to a Solution 6000, the panel should be on firmware 6k v2.25 or above. One CM751B Conettix IP Ethernet module and the HW750 Riser Kit, with the three plastic PCB standoffs for mounting. The control panel, network cabling and any MyAlarm subscription are not included.
Installation requirements
A licensed installer mounts the module on the panel board via the expansion header and standoffs, connects the RJ45 port to your router or switch, and programs the IP reporting and (on a Solution 6000) the MyAlarm registration. Confirm a Solution 6000 is on firmware 6k v2.25 or above, allow about 60 mA off the panel's 12 V accessory budget, and use the HW750 Riser Kit if a CM101B voice module shares the panel.
