What the HA-KIT-IP2 is
The HiLook HA-KIT-IP2 is an IP video door-entry kit for homes, units and small businesses.
A 2MP door station with a single call button sits at the gate or entry, and a 7-inch touchscreen indoor monitor lets you see, hear and speak to a visitor and release the door without getting up.
Because it is an IP intercom, it also rings your phone through the free Hik-Connect app, so you can answer the door and unlock it whether you are in the back room or away from the property.
The door station camera is 2MP with a wide 129° horizontal field of view and low-light IR fill, so it covers the whole entry and still shows a clear face at night.
Audio is two-way with built-in noise suppression and echo cancellation.
The whole kit runs on standard PoE (IEEE 802.3af), so a single network cable carries both power and data to each device, and the indoor monitor also has Wi-Fi and a wired RJ45 port.
A lock relay rated to 30 VDC / 2 A lets the door station trigger an electric strike or gate controller, and the indoor monitor takes a microSD card up to 128 GB (a 32 GB card is included) to store snapshots and call clips.
In the box you get the door station, the 7-inch indoor monitor, two power supplies, a 32 GB microSD card and a weatherproof rain cover for the door station.
An electric strike or gate lock is not included and is selected to suit your door.

Installation & setup
What's in the box
One 2MP door station, one 7-inch touchscreen indoor monitor, two power supplies, a 32 GB microSD card and a weatherproof rain cover. An electric strike or gate lock and the network cabling are not included.
Installation requirements
Run Cat5e or Cat6 from a PoE switch or injector to the door station and to the indoor monitor (or use the supplied power supplies). Mount the door station at the entry under the rain cover, connect any electric strike or gate to the lock relay (max 30 VDC / 2 A), then add the system to the Hik-Connect app for remote access. Professional installation is recommended where a door lock or gate is wired in.

It uses standard PoE (IEEE 802.3af), so a single Cat5e or Cat6 network cable carries both power and data to each device through a PoE switch or injector. The kit also comes with two plug-pack power supplies if you prefer to power a device locally, and the indoor monitor can connect over Wi-Fi or its wired RJ45 port.

Does it open an electric door lock or gate?
Yes. The door station has a lock relay output rated to a maximum of 30 VDC / 2 A that can trigger an electric strike, magnetic lock or gate controller. The lock itself is not part of the kit, so choose one to suit your door and wire it to the relay.

Does it work at night?
Yes. The door station has IR night-vision fill so a visitor's face is still visible at the entry in the dark. As with any infrared, the image at night is in black and white.

Yes. The indoor monitor takes a microSD card (up to 128 GB; a 32 GB card is included) to store snapshots and call clips, so you can check who called while you were out.

How many monitors and door stations can I add?
The HA-KIT-IP2 is supplied as a one-door-station, one-monitor kit. Because it is an IP system on your network, additional compatible HiLook indoor monitors or door stations can be added; confirm the exact expansion against the current HiLook intercom compatibility list before ordering.

Is this an IP intercom or a 2-wire system?
It is a full IP intercom that runs over your network with PoE, not a proprietary 2-wire system. That is what lets it integrate with Hik-Connect for remote answer and unlocking, and run on the same cabling as HiLook and Hikvision IP cameras.
