The Hikvision DS-KIS602 is a complete modular IP video intercom kit for a house or villa, built around a 2MP weatherproof door station and a 7-inch touch-screen indoor monitor. It runs over standard PoE using the included switch, and answers calls and unlocks the door from the monitor or the Hik-Connect app on your phone.

§ 01Overview
What the DS-KIS602 is
The Hikvision DS-KIS602 is a modular IP video intercom kit designed for a single home or villa entrance.
It pairs the DS-KD8003-IME1 2MP surface-mount door station with the DS-KH6320-WTE1 7-inch touch-screen indoor monitor, and includes a 4-port PoE switch, a 16GB card and an Australian power adaptor so it works out of the box.
A visitor presses the call button, and you can see and speak to them on the indoor monitor or on your phone through the Hik-Connect app, then release a connected electric strike or maglock to let them in.
The door station has a 2MP camera with a wide 180-degree horizontal field of view, IR illumination for night-time callers, plus noise suppression and echo cancellation for clear two-way audio, and is IP65 rated for outdoor mounting.
The whole kit runs on standard PoE (IEEE 802.3af) through the supplied switch, so a single network cable carries power and data to each unit.
The door station can alternatively be powered by 12 VDC.

Installation & setup
What's in the box
DS-KD8003-IME1 2MP door station with surface mount bracket, DS-KH6320-WTE1 7-inch touch monitor, 4-port PoE switch, 16GB microSD card, and an AU power adaptor. The electric strike or maglock and network cable are not included.
Installation requirements
Run Cat5e/Cat6 from the PoE switch to the door station and to the monitor. Mount the door station beside the entrance at about 1.4 to 1.5 m so the camera frames a caller's face, and surface-mount the monitor indoors. For remote access, connect the switch to your router and add the door station to the Hik-Connect app. Wire any electric lock to the door station's lock-control terminals per local wiring rules.

Can I answer the door and unlock from my phone?
Yes. Add the door station to the Hik-Connect app and you can receive the call, see and speak to the visitor, and release a connected electric strike or maglock from your phone, whether you are home or away. You can also do all of this from the indoor monitor.

Does the DS-KIS602 need a separate power supply for each unit?
No. The kit includes a 4-port standard PoE switch, so a single network cable carries both power and data to the door station and the monitor. The door station can alternatively run on 12 VDC if you prefer a separate supply.

Is the door station weatherproof for an outside wall?
Yes. The DS-KD8003-IME1 door station is IP65 rated and built for outdoor entryways. It is rated for a wide -40°C to +55°C operating range, so it suits Australian conditions. Mounting it under some cover still helps protect it from direct sun and driving rain.

Can it open an electric strike or maglock?
Yes. The door station has lock-control and exit-button wiring, so it can release a connected electric strike or magnetic lock. The lock itself is not included in the kit and is selected to suit your door and local wiring rules.

The 7-inch monitor stores snapshots and messages on the included 16GB microSD card, so you can review who pressed the button while you were out. For continuous video recording you would add a compatible NVR.

How many monitors and door stations can I add?
The system supports linking additional indoor stations, so you can add a monitor in another room. It is designed around a single-button door station for one entrance; for more doors you expand with compatible Hikvision IP intercom devices.

Does it see clearly at night?
Yes. The door station has built-in IR illumination, so it can capture a visitor's face in low light. As with most IR, the night-time image at the door is in black and white.

What cable do I need to run?
Standard Cat5e or Cat6 network cable from the PoE switch to each unit. Keep runs within about 100 m per device, which covers almost all homes.
