What the DHI-KTP01L(S)-AUS-S2 is
The Dahua KTP01L is a complete 7-inch IP video intercom kit for a house or villa, supplied with everything needed to see and speak to visitors and let them in.
It pairs a 2MP VTO2202F villa door station with a 7-inch VTH2621GW capacitive touch-screen indoor monitor, and includes a Dahua PoE switch and a surface-mount bracket for the door station, so the kit runs over standard network cabling with power over Ethernet.
The door station has a 2MP camera with a wide 140-degree view, night vision and a metal-and-aluminium face rated IK07 for impact and IP65 against weather, suiting an exposed front gate or entry.
Visitors press the mechanical call button, and you answer on the touch-screen monitor or on your phone through the free DMSS app, with two-way voice using echo suppression and noise reduction.
From the monitor or the app you can view the entry and release the door, and the door station controls one or two electric strikes or gate locks; the locks must be powered separately, as the station's 12V DC output suits only a small single-lock load and a second lock needs an extension relay.
The indoor monitor records snapshots and messages to a microSD card (up to 32GB), and a villa setup can run multiple indoor extensions.
It is an IP, network-based kit with no monthly fee.

Installation & setup
Cable the units to the PoE switch
Run a network cable from the door station to the included PoE switch and another from the indoor monitor, then a cable from the switch to your modem for remote access.
Mount the door station at the entry
Fix the door station at the gate or entry using the included surface bracket, or an optional flush box, at a height that frames a visitor's face; aim for some weather cover where possible.
Wire any electric lock separately
To release a strike or gate lock, run cabling from the door station and power the lock from its own supply. For a second lock add an extension relay; for motorised gates use the dry-contact connection, not 12V.
Set up the monitor and app
Configure the indoor monitor, set the unlock period and response interval, then add the door station to the DMSS app for remote answering and unlocking.
