What the DS-2CD2386G2-IU is
Lens options: 2.8mm or 4mm focal length.

The DS-2CD2386G2-IU is the value 8MP (4K) turret in our AcuSense range: 3840 by 2160 detail, a built-in microphone for audio context, and on-camera deep learning that keeps possums, rain and headlights out of your alerts. It is one of the few models here offered in a black housing as well as white.
Night vision is infrared to 30 metres, black and white after dark, with AcuSense line crossing and intrusion zones firing only on the people and vehicles you care about. It records to any Hikvision PoE NVR over a single cable, or standalone to a microSD card, and this exact camera is the one inside our 8-camera 16-channel AcuSense kit.
Spend a little more and the range steps up: the G2H-IU brings the newer low-light sensor, the G2-ISU/SL adds a strobe and audible warnings in the same generation, and the ColorVu 2387 G3 swaps infrared for full night colour.

Very old or OEM/rebadged NVRs may have compatibility issues; Hikvision recommends keeping NVR firmware up to date.
