Installation Requirements

1. Power Source: Requires either Power over Ethernet switch supporting IEEE 802.3af standard or 12VDC mains power supply with Australian safety certification 2. Network Connection: Available ethernet port on router or PoE switch with Cat5e or Cat6 cable, maximum 100 metres cable length 3. Mounting Surface: Wall, eave, or soffit at 2.5-3 metres height for residential applications or 3-4 metres for commercial installations with adequate ventilation 4. Environmental Protection: Mount under eaves or overhangs where possible to minimise direct UV exposure and extend camera lifespan in harsh Australian conditions

App Setup

1. Download the Hik-Connect app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store and create a Hikvision account with email and secure password 2. Activate camera by creating admin password, then add camera to app via QR code scanning or manual IP address entry 3. Configure AcuSense detection by navigating to Smart Event settings, selecting Human or Vehicle detection targets, and drawing detection zones in camera field of view 4. Enable active deterrence features by configuring strobe light patterns and audio warnings under Linkage Method settings with customised schedules for activation times
