Description

The Hikvision DS-2CD2167G3-LIS2UY is a 6 MP ColorVu 3.0 dome camera that keeps footage in full colour around the clock and switches its lighting to suit the scene. An F1.0 super-aperture lens and a 1/1.8" sensor give strong low-light colour, Smart Hybrid Light moves between infrared and white light up to 30 m, and AcuSense deep-learning analytics flag people and vehicles. The housing is IP67 weatherproof and IK10 vandal resistant.

What the DS-2CD2167G3-LIS2UY is

The Hikvision DS-2CD2167G3-LIS2UY is a third-generation ColorVu dome that gives you reliable 6 MP coverage in any light.

It captures 3200 x 1800 detail through an F1.0 super-aperture lens, and HikAI-ISP imaging with 130 dB WDR keeps faces and number plates readable against glare and deep shadow.

Its defining feature is Smart Hybrid Light.

By default the camera uses discreet infrared at night for black-and-white images, and the moment it detects a person or vehicle it switches to white light for full-colour footage, with supplementary lighting reaching up to 30 m.

You get colour and a visible deterrent when it matters, without leaving a floodlight burning all night.

AcuSense deep-learning analytics classify human and vehicle targets, so perimeter rules - line crossing, intrusion, region entry and exit - and motion alarms stay focused on real activity rather than animals, rain or moving foliage.

Two honest notes so you set it up correctly.

It has a built-in microphone to record audio with the video, but no built-in speaker, so it is not a two-way talk camera on its own.

And at night it uses infrared, switching to white light only when it detects a target, so the picture is black-and-white until that happens.

Choose 2.8 mm for a wide 108.8° view or 4 mm for a tighter reach, power it from PoE or 12 VDC, and record it to a Hikvision AcuSense NVR.

What's in the box

One DS-2CD2167G3-LIS2UY 6MP ColorVu dome with mounting template and fixings. Power supply, network cable and any NVR are supplied separately.

Installation requirements

Mount it on a wall, eave or ceiling over the area to cover and power it from a PoE switch or NVR or a 12 VDC supply. Connect the network, set the Smart Hybrid Light day/night behaviour and the AcuSense perimeter rules in the software, and add it to a Hikvision NVR for recording and event search.

Does the white light on the DS-2CD2167G3-LIS2UY stay on all night?
No. Smart Hybrid Light uses discreet infrared by default and only switches to white light for full-colour footage when it detects a person or vehicle, up to 30 m. You can configure the behaviour, so you get colour and deterrence when it counts without a floodlight burning all night.

Is it full colour at night?
It is a ColorVu 3.0 hybrid camera. Its F1.0 lens holds colour in very low light, and when white light is active it gives full-colour images in the dark. Left in infrared mode the night picture is black-and-white, so you choose detail or stealth per scene.

Does it have two-way audio?
No. It has a built-in microphone that records audio with the video, but it does not have a built-in speaker, so it is not a two-way talk camera on its own. If you need talk-back, choose a camera with a built-in speaker.

Does it tell people and vehicles apart from other movement?
Yes. AcuSense uses deep learning to classify human and vehicle targets, so motion alarms and perimeter rules such as line crossing and intrusion trigger on people and cars and ignore animals, rain and moving foliage.

The 2.8 mm lens gives a wider 108.8 degree field for covering a broad area like a yard or shopfront, while the 4 mm reaches a little further with a narrower 93.3 degree view for a driveway or entrance.

How tough is the housing?
It is rated IP67 against dust and heavy rain and IK10 against impact, so it stands up to the weather and to tampering on outdoor walls, eaves and entrances in the Australian climate.

How is it powered?
It runs on standard PoE or a 12 VDC supply, so you can power and network it over one cable from a PoE NVR or switch, or use a local 12 VDC source.

Which recorder should I use with it?
Use a Hikvision AcuSense-compatible NVR so the human and vehicle event data is kept for faster searching. An 8-channel PoE NVR suits a small site; choose 16 channels for larger jobs.
