The Hikvision DS-PDTT15AM-LM is a serious outdoor detector for properties that need an early, reliable warning at the perimeter rather than waiting for an intruder to reach a door or window.
It uses three sensing technologies - two passive-infrared sensors and a 24 GHz microwave sensor - and a tri-signal logic engine that only triggers when the signals agree, which is how it keeps false alarms down in the wind, rain and moving foliage you get outdoors.
It covers up to 15 m across a 90° field that adjusts through 180°, with 92 detection zones and pet immunity for animals up to 40 kg, so a dog in the yard does not set it off.
Active anti-masking watches for anyone trying to spray, cover or block the lens and reports the tamper, while digital temperature compensation keeps detection stable as the weather changes.
The sealed IP65 housing is built to live outside.
One important note on what this model is: the DS-PDTT15AM-LM is the wired version.
It has a normally-closed alarm output and wires into a detection zone on a wired or hybrid alarm panel - typically with an end-of-line resistor for supervision - and runs on 12 VDC.
It is not the battery-powered wireless variant, so plan a cable run back to the panel and a 9 to 16 VDC supply.

What's in the box
One DS-PDTT15AM-LM wired outdoor tri-tech detector with mounting hardware and a pattern mask for adjusting coverage. The alarm panel, cabling and end-of-line resistor are not included.
Installation requirements
Mount it on an outside wall at 0.8 to 1.2 m and aim the 90 degree field along the area you want covered. Wire the normally-closed output into a detection zone on your wired or hybrid panel with the correct end-of-line resistor, and supply 9 to 16 VDC. Set sensitivity, fit the pattern mask if you need to limit coverage, then walk-test the zone before arming.
