01Overview

What the PNM-9084QZ is

The Hanwha PNM-9084QZ is a multi-sensor, multi-directional camera that packs four independent 2MP heads into a single IP66/IK10-rated outdoor housing, delivering a combined 8MP resolution at up to 60fps across four separately-framed views.

Each head has its own motorised 3.0mm to 6.0mm varifocal lens with PTRZ — pan, tilt, rotate, and zoom — so once the unit is physically mounted, installers can dial in each of the four directions purely over the network.

The 90° look-down tilt covers directly-below scenes for corner or high-mast positions.

Onboard analytics per channel include loitering detection, directional detection, enter/exit zone, fog detection and tampering — no separate analytics server needed.

Each sensor gets its own microSD/SDHC/SDXC slot for per-channel edge recording; power is HPoE (IEEE 802.3bt) so a single cable drop feeds all four channels.

PNM-9084QZ specifications

- 8MP combined resolution (4 x 2MP sensors) each at up to 60fps in H.265/H.264
- 3.0mm to 6.0mm motorised varifocal lens per sensor with PTRZ (pan, tilt, rotate, zoom) remote adjustment
- Field of view per sensor 107° wide to 56.3° tight, with 90° look-down tilt for corner and high positions
- 120dB WDR, WiseStream II smart codec
- On-board analytics: loitering detection, directional detection, enter/exit zone, fog detection, tampering
- 4 x micro SD/SDHC/SDXC slots (one per sensor channel) for per-channel edge recording
- HPoE (IEEE 802.3bt) — one cable drop powers all four sensors
- IP66, IK10, NEMA 4X — outdoor vandal-rated multi-directional dome housing

04Why choose this

Built for the way you actually use the PNM-9084QZ

Four Cameras in One Cabling Drop

A single PNM-9084QZ carries four independent 2MP heads on one PoE run and one IP address, replacing four fixed-lens cameras plus their cabling, brackets and NVR channels. On a 40-camera site, that consolidation is meaningful downstream.

PTRZ Ends Ladder-Return Adjustments

Once installers physically mount the unit and terminate the cable, every subsequent framing tweak — pan, tilt, rotate, zoom — happens from the network. Field service costs on multi-camera commissioning drop measurably.

Per-Sensor Edge Storage

Four microSD card slots (one per sensor) mean each channel has its own local recording fallback. Network drops don't take out all four views the way they would with a shared storage device.

Rated for Real Outdoor Duty

IP66 water, IK10 impact, NEMA 4X classification and 802.3bt HPoE input — designed for building corners, high masts and campus perimeter positions that a lower-rated camera won't survive.

05Where it fits

Right at home in these scenarios

Building Corner Coverage

A single PNM-9084QZ at a building corner covers two facades plus the ground below (via 90° look-down tilt) plus an angled overview — one mounting point, one cable, four framed views.

Campus Perimeter Nodes

Instead of stringing four separate cameras along a perimeter mast, one multi-directional unit serves all four cardinal directions and drops the cabling density by 75%.

Car Park Overhead Mounts

A high pole-mounted multi-directional watches the full parking area — one head per lane row — with per-lane PTRZ adjustment when signage or bay markings change.

Logistics Yard Choke Points

Loading dock and roller door approaches need directional coverage on each side; PTRZ lets a single mount capture inbound and outbound truck movement without physical adjustment as yard use evolves.

Public Facility Forecourts

Government buildings, courts and public libraries often need coverage of multiple entry approaches; a single multi-directional camera keeps the ceiling profile tidy while covering all four.

Installation & setup

  1. What's in the Box

    • Hanwha PNM-9084QZ Camera x 1
    • Mounting Template & Fixings x 1 set
    • HPoE Injector (included) x 1
    • Quick Start Guide x 1

  2. Installation Requirements

    • Power: HPoE (IEEE 802.3bt) required — 802.3af/at NOT sufficient because four 2MP sensors + PTRZ motors draw beyond PoE+ budget. Verify switch or use supplied HPoE injector.
    • Storage: up to 4 x microSD/SDHC/SDXC cards (sold separately) — one per sensor channel.
    • Mounting: outdoor multi-directional dome housing; verify substrate for combined weight and wind load at high-mast positions.
    • Network: RJ-45 with weather-sealed connector for outdoor positions; ONVIF Profile S/G/T for third-party VMS or Wisenet WAVE / SSM native.

  3. App & Setup

    • Discover with Wisenet Toolbox Plus or Device Manager.
    • Set admin password on first login (brute-force prevention enforced), configure H.265 with WiseStream II.
    • Frame each channel independently via PTRZ web controls — pan, tilt, rotate, zoom (including 90° look-down where required).
    • Configure analytics per channel: loitering, directional, enter/exit, fog, tampering.

08Questions

Frequently asked about the PNM-9084QZ

Q.01

How does the PTRZ function reduce install time?
Once the housing is physically mounted and cabled, every framing decision — pan, tilt, rotate, zoom on each of the four heads — is made from the network via the camera's web interface. Installers don't return with a lift or ladder to reposition the sensor when signage changes or coverage requirements shift.
Q.02

Do the four channels count as four devices on the NVR?
Yes. The camera exposes four independent video channels to the VMS, so it consumes four NVR channel licences and appears in the VMS layout as four independent streams. Physically it's one device on one IP address served by one cable.
Q.03

What power supply does this camera need?
HPoE (IEEE 802.3bt) — four 2MP sensors plus PTRZ motors need more than a standard 802.3af port can deliver. An HPoE injector is included with the unit, or install into an 802.3bt-capable switch port directly.
Q.04

Can each sensor tilt to look straight down?
Yes. Each head supports a full 90° look-down tilt, which matters at building corners and high-mast positions where the camera needs to catch subjects directly below the mount.
Q.05

Where does edge recording go?
The camera has four microSD/SDHC/SDXC card slots, one per sensor channel. Each channel writes to its own card, so a physical card failure only affects that one direction — not the other three views.
Q.06

What analytics run on-camera?
Loitering detection, directional detection, enter/exit zone, fog detection and tampering — all on each channel independently. No external analytics server required.
Q.07

What VMS integrations does it support?
ONVIF Profile S / G / T — the camera drops into any ONVIF-compatible VMS or NVR. Native Wisenet WAVE and SSM integration is fullest; SUNAPI (HTTP API) documented for custom code.
