What the PNM-9084QZ is

The Hanwha PNM-9084QZ is a multi-sensor, multi-directional camera that packs four independent 2MP heads into a single IP66/IK10-rated outdoor housing, delivering a combined 8MP resolution at up to 60fps across four separately-framed views.

Each head has its own motorised 3.0mm to 6.0mm varifocal lens with PTRZ — pan, tilt, rotate, and zoom — so once the unit is physically mounted, installers can dial in each of the four directions purely over the network.

The 90° look-down tilt covers directly-below scenes for corner or high-mast positions.

Onboard analytics per channel include loitering detection, directional detection, enter/exit zone, fog detection and tampering — no separate analytics server needed.

Each sensor gets its own microSD/SDHC/SDXC slot for per-channel edge recording; power is HPoE (IEEE 802.3bt) so a single cable drop feeds all four channels.

Installation Requirements

1. Power: HPoE (IEEE 802.3bt) required — 802.3af/at NOT sufficient because four 2MP sensors + PTRZ motors draw beyond PoE+ budget. Verify switch or use supplied HPoE injector. 2. Storage: up to 4 x microSD/SDHC/SDXC cards (sold separately) — one per sensor channel. 3. Mounting: outdoor multi-directional dome housing; verify substrate for combined weight and wind load at high-mast positions. 4. Network: RJ-45 with weather-sealed connector for outdoor positions; ONVIF Profile S/G/T for third-party VMS or Wisenet WAVE / SSM native.

How does the PTRZ function reduce install time?

Once the housing is physically mounted and cabled, every framing decision — pan, tilt, rotate, zoom on each of the four heads — is made from the network via the camera's web interface. Installers don't return with a lift or ladder to reposition the sensor when signage changes or coverage requirements shift.

Do the four channels count as four devices on the NVR?

Yes. The camera exposes four independent video channels to the VMS, so it consumes four NVR channel licences and appears in the VMS layout as four independent streams. Physically it's one device on one IP address served by one cable.

What power supply does this camera need?

HPoE (IEEE 802.3bt) — four 2MP sensors plus PTRZ motors need more than a standard 802.3af port can deliver. An HPoE injector is included with the unit, or install into an 802.3bt-capable switch port directly.
