01Overview

What the PNV-A9082RZ is

The Hanwha PNV-A9082RZ is an 8MP AI outdoor vandal dome built on the Wisenet 9 SoC with a dual NPU architecture — image enhancement and AI analytics run on separate processors, keeping extremeWDR and full object classification concurrent at 4K resolution.

A 5.9mm to 13.3mm motorized varifocal lens covers 109° wide to 49° tight (2.25x), with PTRZ remote adjustment (pan/tilt/rotate/zoom) over the network.

WiseIR reaches 50m for full-dark identification — substantially further than earlier-generation vandal domes.

Minimum illumination is 0.03 Lux in colour (F1.5).

On-camera AI classifies Person, Face, Vehicle and License plate with attribute extraction and BestShot event capture.

IK11 impact rating (20 joules — one step above IK10) plus IP66, IP67, IP6K9K high-pressure water-jet resistance and NEMA 4X — a proper vandal dome for reachable, exposed positions at schools, hospitals, transit stations and food-industry sites.

PoE+ (802.3at Class 4) power.

Dual Micro SD card slots for edge storage.

04Why choose this

Built for the way you actually use the PNV-A9082RZ

Wisenet 9 Dual NPU Keeps 4K + AI Concurrent

Running 8MP output with extremeWDR plus multi-class AI on a single-NPU camera means one workload starves the other. Wisenet 9's dual NPU eliminates that trade-off — image and analytics both run at full performance concurrently.

IK11 Impact for Reachable-Position Domes

The IK11 rating certifies 20-joule impact — one step above the standard IK10. On reachable positions where deliberate impacts happen (schools, transit, hospitals, public premises), IK11 covers cases IK10 wouldn't.

IP6K9K High-Pressure Wash-Down

Beyond IP66/IP67, the IP6K9K rating adds high-pressure water-jet resistance — practical for sites that use industrial cleaning cycles (food processing, transit, healthcare, schools) that destroy standard dome housings.

PTRZ Ends Ladder-Return Adjustments

All four axes — pan, tilt, rotate, zoom — controllable from the network after physical mount. Framing changes happen at a keyboard, not from a lift or ladder. Substantial field service saving on multi-camera install runs.

05Where it fits

Right at home in these scenarios

Schools & Educational Facilities

Reachable-position IK11 impact rating covers deliberate strikes at head height; 4K + AI classification supports the incident review workflow that schools increasingly require.

Hospital Public Zones & Aged Care

4K forensic-review capability plus IP6K9K wash-down survivability plus IK11 impact — suited to hospital corridors, aged care common areas and waiting zones.

Transit Stations & Bus Interchanges

High foot traffic + deliberate impact risk + wash-down cleaning cycles; PTRZ lets security teams re-frame the camera as platform layouts change.

Food Processing Vestibules & Wash-Down Zones

IP6K9K survives daily wash-down that pit standard outdoor housings; PTRZ helps re-frame when equipment layouts change during process reconfiguration.

Government Building Public Areas

Vandal-resistant dome housing at reachable heights inside government tenants where NDAA compliance matters and physical protection is a hard requirement.

08Questions

Frequently asked about the PNV-A9082RZ

Q.01

What makes Wisenet 9 different from earlier P series platforms?
Wisenet 9 uses a dual NPU architecture: one AI processor dedicated to image enhancement (extremeWDR, WiseNR II noise reduction, gain control), a second dedicated to analytics (object detection, classification, business intelligence). On single-NPU cameras those tasks share silicon and slow each other; here they run in parallel.
Q.02

Why is IK11 important compared to IK10?
IK10 certifies 20-joule impact resistance from a specified drop height. IK11 goes one step further — suitable for reachable positions where deliberate impacts occur (schools, transit stations, hospitals). At head height in public premises, IK11 covers what standard IK10 units may not.
Q.03

What does IP6K9K rating cover?
IP6K9K certifies high-pressure water-jet resistance (steam or hot-water cleaning cycles). It's beyond IP66/IP67 — practical for sites that use industrial cleaning cycles: food processing, hospitals, transit stations, schools. Standard IP-rated cameras leak in these environments within a year.
Q.04

What object classes does the AI recognise?
Person, Face, Vehicle and License plate with attribute extraction and BestShot event capture. Virtual line, virtual area, enter/exit and loitering rules can be scoped per object class.
Q.05

Does PTRZ require special mounting?
No. PTRZ is entirely internal to the camera housing — no external motors or additional mounting hardware. Once physically mounted and cabled, all four axes adjust via the web interface remotely.
Q.06

What VMS platforms does it integrate with?
ONVIF Profile S, G, T and M — the camera drops into any ONVIF-compatible VMS. Native Wisenet WAVE and SSM integration is fullest; SUNAPI (HTTP API) documented for custom code.
Q.07

How does the 50m IR compare to earlier PNV cameras?
50m WiseIR extends earlier-generation A-series vandal domes by roughly two-thirds. For larger courtyards, industrial forecourts, or extended building facades, the extra reach covers positions where earlier units left dark gaps at the far end.
