Hanwha PNM-C12083RVD 6MP Dual-Sensor AI Multi-Directional Camera

SKU: PNM-C12083RVD
Description

- Two 6MP Sensors, One Cable Drop: dual 6MP sensors cover two directions from a single mount and IP address — cuts perimeter cabling, PoE port count and NVR channel count by 50% versus two single-sensor cameras.

01Overview

What the PNM-C12083RVD is

The Hanwha PNM-C12083RVD is a dual-sensor AI multi-directional camera — Hanwha's flagship 6MP-per-sensor entry in their first-generation AI Multi-Directional product line.

Two independent 6MP sensors sit in one IP66/IP67/IK10/NEMA 4X outdoor housing, each fitted with its own 3.54mm to 6.69mm motorized varifocal lens covering 96° wide to 47° tight.

The dual-sensor architecture cuts perimeter, parking-lot and multi-lane traffic install costs — one unit replaces two single-sensor cameras plus their cabling, brackets and PoE switch ports.

The on-camera AI engine classifies Person, Face, Vehicle and License plate per channel and drives IVA rules (virtual line, virtual area, enter/exit, loitering, direction, intrusion) scoped per class — nuisance alerts from wildlife and shadow drop measurably.

WiseIR reaches 15m to 25m per sensor depending on scene, extremeWDR handles backlit gateways, and WiseNR II noise reduction uses AI to identify object movement in low light.

PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at, Class 4) single-cable power.

04Why choose this

Built for the way you actually use the PNM-C12083RVD

Halves Perimeter Install Cost

Deploying one dual-sensor unit instead of two single-sensor domes cuts housing, mounting hardware, and PoE-switch-port count by 50%. On a large perimeter or car park with multiple coverage zones, the downstream savings on cabling, brackets and network drops are the real value.

6MP Per Sensor for Forensic Zoom

Compared to entry-level 2-megapixel dual-sensor units, each 6MP sensor here gives roughly triple the pixel density — during incident review that means usable digital zoom into any corner of the frame rather than a smudge.

Edge AI Removes VMS Compute Burden

Object classification (Person, Face, Vehicle, License plate) plus IVA events run on the camera's own processor, freeing VMS server CPU/GPU for other cameras and eliminating latency in event triggering.

AI-Driven Noise Reduction in Low Light

WiseNR II uses the same AI engine to identify moving objects and reduce noise selectively — moving subjects stay sharp in low-light scenes where conventional noise reduction would blur them.

05Where it fits

Right at home in these scenarios

Building Corner Perimeters

One dual-sensor unit at a building corner covers both facades independently; 6MP per direction gives detail for forensic review, and license-plate classification can be scoped to the driveway-facing sensor only.

Multi-Lane Traffic Approaches

Two sensors framed on different lanes of an approach road with license-plate detection on both, saving one camera position and one NVR licence at each entry point.

Parking Lot Row Coverage

Overhead pole-mount covering two rows of bays; 6MP per row means individual vehicle detail is retained without needing separate cameras per row.

Petrol Station Forecourts

Two-direction pump-lane coverage from one mount, with WiseIR to 25m covering the whole apron under fuel-canopy shadows at night.

Loading Dock Vestibules

Inbound and outbound truck approaches from one mount, with vehicle-type classification differentiating trucks from cars for rule-based alerting.

08Questions

Frequently asked about the PNM-C12083RVD

Q.01

How does the dual-sensor architecture reduce install cost?
A conventional install would need two single-sensor cameras — two housings, two brackets, two PoE switch ports, two IP addresses, two cable runs. This unit puts two independent sensors in one housing on one cable, cutting the physical install cost roughly in half at each two-direction coverage point.
Q.02

Do the two sensors count as two devices on the NVR?
Yes — each sensor exposes a separate video channel to the VMS. Two NVR channel licences are consumed, but physically it's one device on one IP address and one PoE port.
Q.03

What does the on-camera AI actually classify?
Person, Face, Vehicle and License plate. IVA events include virtual line crossing, virtual area, enter/exit, loitering, direction and intrusion — each rule can be scoped to a specific object class to eliminate false alerts from irrelevant motion.
Q.04

How does WiseNR II help in low light?
WiseNR II uses AI to identify actual moving objects in a scene and reduce noise selectively — moving subjects stay sharp, static backgrounds get cleaned up. Standard noise reduction blurs moving objects along with the noise; this approach preserves detail on the subjects you care about.
Q.05

What's the practical difference vs the 2-megapixel PNM-C7083RVD sibling?
Same AI engine, same multi-directional housing, same analytics suite. The difference is 6MP per sensor versus 2-megapixel — roughly triple the pixel density per direction. Choose this model when forensic zoom into a wide shot is needed; choose the 2-megapixel sibling when 1080p per direction is enough for the site.
Q.06

What's the frame rate — 15fps sounds low?
Each 6MP sensor delivers 15fps at full resolution with 120dB WDR active — Hanwha explicitly notes the WDR is 'without compromising the frame rate'. For security review purposes 15fps is standard; lower resolutions on the same sensor deliver higher frame rates.
Q.07

What VMS platforms does it support?
ONVIF Profile S, G, T and M — drops into any ONVIF-compatible VMS. Native Wisenet WAVE and SSM is fullest; SUNAPI (HTTP API) documented for custom integrations.
