§ 01Overview

What the QNO-C8013R is

The Hanwha QNO-C8013R is a 5MP AI bullet camera built for wide, exposed outdoor scenes.

A fixed 3mm F1.6 lens covers a 100° horizontal / 73° vertical field of view against a 1/2.8-inch CMOS sensor delivering 2592×1944 at 30fps in H.265.

On-board AI classifies persons and vehicles, tags upper/lower clothing colour, vehicle type, and colour, then packages the moment as a BestShot thumbnail.

Business Intelligence adds people counting, queue management, heatmap, and vehicle counting.

120dB WDR with WiseNR II and 25m 850nm IR keep coverage stable across daylight glare and nighttime shifts, and the aluminium IP66/IK10 housing is rated -30°C to +55°C for exposed mounts.

Edge storage runs to 256GB microSD (or 1TB with Hanwha's OnCloud-certified cards) and the camera draws a maximum 8.1W over IEEE 802.3af Class 3 PoE.

§ 04Why choose this

Built for the way you actually use the QNO-C8013R

AI Analytics Standard, Not Add-On

On-board Object Detection with person / vehicle classification, colour attribute tagging, and BestShot thumbnails runs directly on the camera — no server-side re-analysis, no per-camera analytics licence.

Wide Outdoor Coverage From One Mount

The 100° horizontal / 129° diagonal field of view from a fixed 3mm lens lets a single bullet cover a car park approach, forecourt, or loading yard that a narrower lens would leave with blind zones.

Reliable Vision Through Daylight and Night

120dB WDR with WiseNR II preserves detail against direct sun on shopfront façades, while 25m 850nm IR combined with 0.005 lux B/W sensitivity keeps overnight coverage usable without auxiliary lighting.

Storage That Survives the Network

WiseStream III trims bitrate scene-by-scene while a microSD slot up to 256GB (1TB with OnCloud-certified cards) keeps footage recording locally when the NVR or uplink is temporarily unavailable.

§ 05Where it fits

Right at home in these scenarios

Retail Car Parks and Forecourts

Wide 100° coverage from a single wall or pole mount takes in multiple parking bays, entry lanes, and the shopfront threshold, while AI vehicle classification with Type + Colour attributes turns raw motion into searchable evidence for incident review.

Warehouse and Loading Bay Perimeters

IP66 / IK10 aluminium housing handles industrial exteriors and rated impact; AI Virtual line and Virtual area (Loitering/Intrusion/Enter/Exit) rules trigger only on the object types you configure, cutting after-hours false alerts from wind, wildlife, and shadows.

Building Entrance and Façade Coverage

120dB WDR keeps subjects visible when the camera faces a sunlit street or bright awning above a shaded doorway, so operators can identify people entering without losing detail in the surrounding exposure.

Sites With Unreliable Network Links

A microSD slot up to 256GB (1TB via OnCloud-certified cards) plus WiseStream III bandwidth reduction keeps outages from becoming footage gaps — recording continues locally through the incident.

§ 06Setup

Installation & setup

01

PoE Only — No 12V Option

Powered exclusively over IEEE 802.3af Class 3 PoE, typical draw 4.0W, maximum 8.1W. Any 802.3af-compliant switch or injector with headroom for the port budget will run the camera; verify total PoE budget when adding multiple units to a shared switch.

02

Mounting Interface

Bullet housing dimensions ø93.4 × 245.8mm (ø3.68 × 9.68 in.), weight 890g. Compatible with Single, Double, and 4" Octagon gang boxes for standard AU install kits.

03

First-Time Setup

Configure via the Hanwha Vision web interface or SmartCam app after connecting to your network. Micro USB Type B port is preview / installation only and requires the WiFi dongle accessory — it is not a recording or power interface.

04

Environmental Range

Operating -30°C to +55°C, storage -50°C to +60°C. Start-up must occur above -30°C. Rated IP66 for dust and water jets and IK10 for impact — apply weatherproof glands at cable entry to preserve the IP66 rating.

§ 07Questions

Frequently asked about the QNO-C8013R

Q.01

Q: Does the QNO-C8013R need a separate analytics licence to use AI object detection?

A: No. Person and vehicle classification, colour attributes, BestShot thumbnails, and the AI-based Virtual line and Virtual area (Loitering / Intrusion / Enter / Exit) rules run on the camera itself, alongside Business Intelligence features such as people counting, queue management, heatmap, and vehicle counting. No server-side or per-camera analytics licence is required for those features.
Q.02

Q: What is the actual coverage width I should plan for on this lens?

A: The fixed 3mm F1.6 lens delivers a 100° horizontal, 73° vertical, and 129° diagonal field of view. DORI figures based on the EN62676-4 standard give Detect at 43.5m (25 PPM), Observe at 17.5m (63 PPM), Recognize at 8.7m (125 PPM), and Identify at 4.3m (250 PPM). Plan mounting positions so critical subjects sit inside the Recognize or Identify bands.
Q.03

Q: How far does night vision reach and what illumination minimum should I expect?

A: The 850nm IR LEDs provide illumination to 25m (82.02ft). Minimum illumination is 0.05 lux in colour and 0.005 lux in B/W (both measured at 1/30sec, 30 IRE). WiseNR II — Hanwha's AI-based noise reduction — combined with SSNR V keeps low-light detail clean without smearing.
Q.04

Q: Is the housing suitable for direct outdoor exposure?

A: Yes. The aluminium bullet housing carries IEC 60529 IP66 (dust-tight, protected against water jets) and IEC 62262 IK10 (impact resistance) ratings. Operating temperature range is -30°C to +55°C, and storage range is -50°C to +60°C, covering the great majority of Australian outdoor deployments. Seal all conduit and cable entry points to preserve the IP66 rating.
Q.05

Q: What PoE power budget does this camera consume?

A: The QNO-C8013R runs on IEEE 802.3af Class 3 PoE with typical draw of 4.0W and maximum draw of 8.1W. Confirm the switch or injector has adequate remaining PoE budget across the port group before adding new cameras to a shared PSE.
Q.06

Q: How much edge storage does the microSD slot support?

A: The slot accepts Micro SD / SDHC / SDXC cards up to 256GB. When using Hanwha Vision-branded microSD cards certified for OnCloud edge recording, capacity extends up to 1TB. Edge recording is useful as a failover buffer when the primary NVR or network link is temporarily unavailable.
Q.07

Q: Which network protocols and ONVIF profiles does the camera support?

A: Ethernet is RJ-45 10/100BASE-T. Streaming supports up to 20 unicast users, up to 5 stream profiles, and multicast. ONVIF profiles S, G, T, and M are supported alongside SUNAPI (HTTP API), Hanwha Vision Open Platform integrations, and MQTT publication/subscription. Direct Cloud Connection is supported natively.
Q.08

Q: Are there any security hardening features to be aware of during commissioning?

A: Yes. The camera ships with encrypted firmware, secure boot, and signed firmware, IEEE 802.1X (EAP-TLS / EAP-LEAP / EAP-PEAP / MSCHAPv2), IP-based access control, HTTPS / WSS / SRTP secure communications, and AES-256 SD card partition encryption. Enable HTTPS and keep firmware current after deployment to maintain the hardened baseline.
