01Overview

What the QNO-8010R is

The Hanwha QNO-8010R is a 5MP H.265 IR bullet camera from the Wisenet Q Series, engineered for wide outdoor scenes at an accessible price.

A 1/2.8-inch CMOS sensor pairs with a fixed 2.8mm F2.0 lens covering a 105° horizontal / 77° vertical / 136° diagonal field of view, and delivers 2592×1944 at 30fps under H.265 / H.264 / MJPEG codecs with WiseStream II smart compression.

120dB WDR combined with SSNR noise reduction preserves detail in mixed daylight, while 850nm IR LEDs illuminate the scene to 20m at 0.015 lux B/W for overnight coverage.

The dark grey aluminium bullet housing is IP66 and IK10 rated across -30°C to +55°C, mounts on a 128GB Micro SD slot for edge recording, and draws a maximum 7.50W (typical 6.10W) over IEEE 802.3af Class 3 PoE.

ONVIF profiles S, G, and T plus SUNAPI keep integration straightforward.

04Why choose this

Built for the way you actually use the QNO-8010R

Broad Outdoor Coverage From a Compact Bullet

The 105° horizontal field of view from a fixed 2.8mm lens covers wide open scenes — car parks, forecourts, shopfront runs — from a single mount, without needing a motorised lens or a second camera to fill blind zones.

120dB WDR for Real-World Lighting

Wide Dynamic Range at 120dB combined with SSNR keeps highlights and shadows readable when the camera faces bright sky, sunlit thresholds, or dark bay entries — the everyday failure cases for cheaper bullets.

Cost-Sensitive H.265 Deployments

WiseStream II with H.265 shrinks bitrate on quiet scenes without dropping quality on active ones, protecting both bandwidth on shared networks and long-term storage budgets across larger multi-camera systems.

Weatherproof and Vandal Rated

The IP66-sealed aluminium housing and IK10 impact rating handle exposed exterior mounts including entry canopies, warehouse walls, and school perimeters where lower-rated housings would degrade in service.

05Where it fits

Right at home in these scenarios

Retail Shopfronts and Building Entrances

The 105° horizontal coverage frames wide doorways, footpaths, and awning zones from a single wall or soffit mount, with 120dB WDR maintaining subject visibility against sunlit exteriors during the busiest trading hours.

Car Parks and Vehicle Approaches

A single QNO-8010R covers several parking bays or a full vehicle entry lane, with 20m IR sustaining scene coverage overnight for after-hours activity review and incident evidence.

School and Community Building Perimeters

IK10 impact resistance is a practical fit for locations subject to occasional tampering or ball strikes, and the discreet dark grey housing blends against modern architectural finishes rather than announcing camera positions.

Loading Yards and Warehouse Externals

IP66 sealing plus a -30°C to +55°C operating range handle Australian exterior temperature swings; Virtual line and Virtual area rules can flag perimeter breaches through the on-board analytics engine.

06Setup

Installation & setup

  1. PoE Only — No 12V Option

Powered exclusively over IEEE 802.3af Class 3 PoE at 6.10W typical / 7.50W maximum. Any 802.3af-compliant switch or injector will support the camera; confirm total PoE budget when adding multiple cameras to a shared switch.

  2. Physical Housing

Compact dark grey aluminium bullet, 680g, with dimensions shown in the datasheet CAD drawing (approximately 25cm long). Compatible mounting hardware in the Hanwha SBP / SBO accessory ranges applies for wall or junction-box mounts.

  3. First-Time Setup

Configure via the Hanwha Vision web interface after connecting to the network; the CVBS video-out is preview-only for installation alignment and is not a recording output.

  4. Environmental Range

Operating -30°C to +55°C (start-up above -20°C), storage -30°C to +60°C. Preserve the IP66 rating by sealing all conduit and cable entry points; the housing is not suitable for permanent submersion.

08Questions

Frequently asked about the QNO-8010R

Q.01

Q: What field of view should I plan for from a single QNO-8010R?
A: The fixed 2.8mm F2.0 lens provides a 105° horizontal, 77° vertical, and 136° diagonal field of view. DORI figures per EN62676-4 give Detect at 40.0m, Observe at 16.0m, Recognize at 8.0m, and Identify at 4.0m — plan mounting so the target subjects sit inside the Recognize or Identify bands rather than at the outer Detect edge.
Q.02

Q: How far does the night vision reach?
A: The 850nm IR LEDs illuminate to 20m (65.62ft), and minimum illumination is 0.15 lux in colour and 0.015 lux in B/W at 1/30 sec / 30 IRE. In near-total darkness the camera falls back to B/W with IR on, sustaining scene coverage across the IR range.
Q.03

Q: What PoE budget does the camera consume?
A: The QNO-8010R draws typical 6.10W and maximum 7.50W over IEEE 802.3af Class 3 PoE. Any Class 3-compliant switch or injector will run the camera; verify the total port budget when adding units to a shared PSE.
Q.04

Q: How much microSD storage is supported?
A: A single Micro SD / SDHC / SDXC slot supports cards up to 128GB. Edge recording is intended as a failover buffer when the primary NVR or network link is temporarily unavailable, not as a primary long-term archive.
Q.05

Q: Does this camera include AI object classification?
A: No. The QNO-8010R runs Normal analytics only — motion detection, tampering, defocus detection, and Virtual line / Virtual area (Intrusion / Enter / Exit) rules. For on-device person and vehicle classification with colour attributes, see the AI-based QNO-C8013R.
Q.06

Q: Is the housing rated for direct outdoor exposure?
A: Yes. The aluminium housing carries IEC 60529 IP66 (dust-tight, protected against water jets) and IEC 62262 IK10 (impact resistance) ratings, with operating range -30°C to +55°C. Seal all cable and conduit entries to preserve the IP66 rating.
Q.07

Q: What ONVIF and API options are supported for integration?
A: The camera implements ONVIF profiles S, G, and T alongside SUNAPI (HTTP API) and Hanwha Vision Open Platform, with Ethernet on RJ-45 10/100BASE-T and support for up to 6 unicast users and 3 stream profiles simultaneously.
