01Overview

What the PNV-A7082RZ is

The Hanwha PNV-A7082RZ is a 4MP AI outdoor vandal dome camera with PTRZ (pan, tilt, rotate, zoom) remote adjustment — all four axes controlled over the network so installers can dial in exact framing after physical mount without ladder returns.

A 4.6mm to 9.35mm motorized varifocal lens covers 105° wide to 47° tight; F1.3 fast optics hold colour capture down to 0.03 Lux, staying colour longer than the F1.6 or F1.8 lenses in standard outdoor domes.

WiseIR reaches 30m for full-dark identification; extremeWDR (120dB) handles backlit gateways, and dual NPU AI (Person, Face, Vehicle, License plate classification) filters false alerts to what actually matters.

Outdoor vandal housing rated IP66, IP67, IK11 (20 joules — one step above IK10) plus NEMA 4X; the IP6K9K rating additionally covers high-pressure water-jet resistance.

PoE+ (802.3at Class 4) single-cable power.

Suited to positions where reachable-height vandal resistance matters more than the standard IK10 baseline.

04Why choose this

Built for the way you actually use the PNV-A7082RZ

PTRZ Removes Physical Site Returns

Once physically mounted and cabled, every subsequent framing tweak — pan, tilt, rotate, zoom — happens from the network. Installers don't return to reposition the camera when signage changes or coverage requirements shift; the field service saving on multi-camera commissioning is measurable.

F1.3 Fast Optics Hold Colour Longer

Most outdoor domes ship with F1.6 or F1.8 lenses. F1.3 admits substantially more light, holding colour capture to 0.03 Lux — meaningful in dusk and dawn transitions where slower-lens cameras have already switched to monochrome IR mode.

IK11 Impact Rating for Reachable Positions

The IK11 rating certifies 20-joule impact resistance — one step above IK10. On school corridors, hospital public zones, transit stations and other head-height installs where impacts happen, IK11 covers deliberate strikes that IK10 wouldn't.

IP6K9K for High-Pressure Wash-Down

Beyond IP66/IP67, the IP6K9K rating covers high-pressure water-jet resistance — practical for schools, hospitals, transit, and food-related sites that use industrial cleaning cycles that ruin standard dome cameras.

05Where it fits

Right at home in these scenarios

School Corridors & Public Buildings

Head-height dome installs benefit from IK11 impact resistance plus PTRZ remote framing; face and vehicle classification supports incident review without operator involvement.

Hospital Public Zones & Aged Care

Waiting rooms, corridors and external walkways; IP6K9K wash-down rating survives daily hospital cleaning cycles that pit standard dome housings.

Transit Stations & Bus Interchanges

High foot traffic + occasional deliberate impact + wash-down cleaning; PTRZ lets a security team re-frame the camera when platform layouts change.

Retail Front-of-House at Reachable Height

Where the camera has to be within customer reach for aesthetic or ceiling-height reasons, IK11 covers accidental knocks and deliberate impacts.

Prison, Correctional, Detention Facilities

Sites where physical attack on cameras is expected; the IK11 rating gives an extra layer of impact tolerance versus standard IK10 units.

08Questions

Frequently asked about the PNV-A7082RZ

Q.01

What does PTRZ actually let installers do?
PTRZ (Pan / Tilt / Rotate / Zoom) means all four axes of camera adjustment happen over the network via the web interface. Once physically mounted and cabled, framing tweaks — different pan direction, tighter zoom, image rotation — don't require ladder or lift access to the camera.
Q.02

Why does the IK11 rating matter over IK10?
IK10 certifies 20-joule impact resistance from a specified drop height. IK11 goes further — Hanwha lists this as one-step-above-IK10 impact rating. In practice, IK11-rated cameras survive deliberate strikes at head height that IK10 units may not.
Q.03

What's the F1.3 aperture advantage?
F1.3 is faster than the F1.6 or F1.8 lenses on most outdoor domes at this price point — it admits substantially more light, so the camera holds colour capture down to 0.03 Lux versus roughly 0.05-0.10 Lux for slower lenses. In dusk and dawn transitions, colour identification of clothing, vehicles, and licence plates is preserved longer.
Q.04

What object classes does the AI recognise?
Person, Face, Vehicle and License plate — with attribute extraction and BestShot event capture. Virtual line, virtual area, enter/exit, loitering and intrusion rules can be scoped to a specific object class.
Q.05

What VMS platforms does it integrate with?
ONVIF Profile S / G / T / M — the camera drops into any ONVIF-compatible VMS. Native Wisenet WAVE and SSM integration is fullest; SUNAPI (HTTP API) is documented for custom code.
Q.06

Does it require PoE+ specifically?
Yes — PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at, Class 4). Standard 802.3af PoE is insufficient because the 4MP sensor, motorized PTRZ actuator and WiseIR 30m LED array together exceed the 802.3af power budget.
Q.07

Does the IP6K9K rating matter for typical Australian sites?
For most sites, no — IP66/IP67 covers weather and rain adequately. IP6K9K is relevant for sites that use high-pressure water-jet cleaning as part of their standard operating cycle: schools, hospitals, transit stations, food-related facilities. If your site does industrial wash-down, IP6K9K keeps the camera sealed where lower-rated units would leak.
